The 49er European Championship, FX and Nacra 17 ended today with two bronze medals for Spain after seven days of competition. Diego Botín and Iago Ópez- Marra were made with the third European position the 49er class and the sisters Carla and Marta Munté won the bronze in category Sub 23 of the 49er FX.

The last day of the competition was marked by the weak wind conditions that were recorded in Weymouth, England. In the morning the 49er contested the final test of the final phase, and in the afternoon, although late, the race medals of 49er FX and Nacra 17 were held. The 49er, the last in the grille of salt race, could not compete in the final race for lack of wind.

The 49th race medal, which was to be the last of the day, was not disputed because the wind fell completely in the middle of the afternoon. The penultimate day of the 49er European Championship, FX and Nacra 17 was held today in Weymouth, England, with little wind and the tests began after several hours of waiting on the ground. In 49er FX, Patricia Suárez and Nicole van der Velden promoted to the eighth position of the general classification open and were placed in the sixth European square after the dispute of three new sleeves. His day partials were 2 + 8 + 5, which placed them at only 11 points on the provisional podium.

The premiere of the Finn European Championship was postponed until tomorrow, Tuesday 14, due to the instability and lack of wind that was recorded in Athens, Greece. Similar weather conditions are expected tomorrow morning and therefore the committee has decided to delay the start of the tests until 13: 30 local time, and have scheduled a maximum of three races for this day.

Tomorrow the 49th, 49th FX and Nacra 17 European Championships will begin in Weymouth, England, and the Finn class in Athens, Greece. In this last championship, four new country squares will be distributed for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
