The TP52 class title was decided in the final battle. The most professional fleet of the 16th Sail Racing PalmaVela was fired with two tests that were used by the American Quantum Racing to deploy its best navigation of the week and to initiate its first victory of the year. The boat, patrolled by American legend's Cup Ed Baird, and with the navigation of Barcelona's Joan Vila, won the first manga of the day and was third in the last of the championship, won by the Sledp attoned by Takashi Okura, who was finally out of the podium lamented by his absence on the second day of race. Second, five points from the champion, he finished the Platoon of the German Harm Müller Spreer (2-7 today), tied to points with the Azzurra of the Argentine Guillermo Parada (3-2). The TP52 completed their eight-sleeved program in four days.
The IRC class announced an exciting final duel for the title between the Vera and Magic Carpet 3, which were tied to the last assault. But the unappearance of Sir Lindsay Owen-Jones's Wallycento on the scheduled shore exit line today gave the victory to the Reichel Pugh of 25.3 meters armed and patronized by the Argentine Miguel Galuccio, who had the strategy of the Dutch Bouwe Bekking. Vera completed her participation with three partial wins of five possible.
In ORC 0, the champion was the TP52 Arobas2 armed and patronized by Gerard Logel, the only ship to say goodbye to the 16th Sail Racing PalmaVela without knowing the defeat. His impeccable five-win card gave the French team a well-deserved title, ahead of Valentin Zavadnikov's Synergy and Mariusz Klupinski's Anafesto.
ORC 1, the most massive class of laregata (21 ships), made a 26.5-mile coast that won the Nadir patroniado by Gonzalo Araujo, but the final title corresponded to the Dralion of Pit Finis, third in the final test. The April fish of José María Meseguer (who received a repair after an incident with another participant) ended second absolute followed by the Nadir, completing a podium copped by Swan 42 model vessels.
The champion in class ORC 2 was the Mumm 30 Shazam of Phillip Seippel, who says goodbye to Palma with a partial of 1-4-1-4-1. He is accompanied on the podium by the Modul of Augusto Sanguineti and the Viking IX of Erik Tejedor.
The title of class ORC 3 was the Vertigo Dos Texia of Antonio Guasch, patroned by Jorge Martínez Doreeste. The Salona 37 Barcelona won the two final sleeves, initializing an excellent four-part-win card on five disputed tests. Second finished the Siri of José Matheu and third the Xaler of Bernat Rossiñol.
The 4-5 ORC champion did not need to complete the last sleeve of the day to take the title. The J97 Just Job of British Scott Beattie won the four previous tests and was able to rule out his DNF in the final test, which he won Jaime Morell's second-absolute Mestral Fast. Third finished the Three Seas of Juan Scandinell.
The Viper class debut ended with excellent news for the host club. The RCNP Team, patronized by Pedro Marí and tripulated by a combination of young components of the RCNP's race team, was proclaimed absolute champion with an excellent card that included five partial wins in nine sleeves. After an intense duel throughout the championship with the Hissing Sid of the British Lawrence Crispin, the local team managed last day's pressure and took a well-deserved title.
Class champion J80was the Attila patroniado by Helena Alegre, who completed a good final day with partials 1-1-3. Just a prize for the ship armed by Miquel Pujadas, which was held in front of the provisional from the first sleeve and scored six wins of nine possible. Second was Cooper Rigging and third was Nautipants.
The victory in the Flying Fifteen class was the Puffin of James Waugh, who did not need to contest the last race of the championship to proclaim himself a champion, ahead of the Perfect Alibi and Fatuo Fire.

11 / 05 / 2019: In the absence of a day follows the show in the Bay of Palma, with the Sail Racing

The wind was made today to wait in the Sail Racing PalmaVela, but when it appeared it did so intensively enough so that all classes could enjoy another excellent day of regatta in the bay of Palma
The leaders at the end of the third day of competition of the 16th Sail Racing PalmaVela are: Quantum Racing (TP52), Vera (IRC), Arobas2 (Majorca Sotheby's ORC 0), Dralion (Majorca Sotheby's ORC 1), Shazam (Majorca Sotheby's ORC 2), Siri (Majorca Sotheby's ORC 3), Just the Job (Majorca Sotheby's ORC 4-5), Atila (Jefin), and Frico (Frico) (Frico), and Frico (Sal.
The Azzurrarasecordó today why he arrived in Palma as one of the favorites to aspire to the title. The ship named by Guillermo Parada, winner of the last edition, began the championship with poor results in the first two days (6-6 and 5-8), but today began its rebound by signing the fleet's best card: 1-2. The absence of discards in TP52 class beats the Argentine team, which now occupies the fifth position in a tight classification leading the Quantum Racing patroned by the American Cup Ed Baird champion. The American ship showed a discreet performance (4-5) but enough to take away the leadership of a Phoenix that today did not have its day (8-6). Second is the German Platoon, at a point in the head. The provisional after six partials suggests an exciting final day, with five ships in five points in the fight for the title and up to two trials to be held.
In IRC, the Wally Magic Carpet 3, armed and patronized by Sir Lindsay Owen-Jones, again resorted to its length (30.5 meters) and greater power to lead the test in the water, but the Vera de Miguel Galupo (25.4 meters in length) better optimized its resources to beat its rival for 11 minutes after the compensation of time and achieve its second partial victory of the week. In addition to four partials, the IRC class provisional shows both teams with four points, but the unbound favours the Vera, leader for a final day in which the champion will decide to a single letter.
In ORC 0, the TP52 Arobas2 of Gerard Logel won both assaults and is the only ship of all 16th Sail Racing PalmaVela that still does not know defeat. After four sleeves, the French ship takes four points to the TP52 Anafesto and the Melges 40 Synergy, tied with seven points.
The ORC 1 class remains Swan 42, a ship that occupies the first three positions. The best of them today was the Nadir of Pedro Vaquer (1-2), but the Dralion of Pit Finis did enough to keep in mind (5-1). Only four points separate the first three classified face to morning.
The ORC 2 also passed today to the barlovento-sotavento format, with two sleeves that won the IMS 42 Modul of Augusto Sanguineti and the Mumm 30 Shazam of Phillip Seippel, which retains the lead for the minimum in front of its rival.
In ORC 3, the Salona 37 Vertigo Dos Texia patroniado por Jorge Martínez Doreto was imposed on the two tests today, but the classification remains led by yesterday's coastal winner, José Matheu's First 35 Sirpi (2.5-2 today).
The day's decline ORC 4-5 offered an alternation of lead results between Scott Beattie's J97 Just the Job (2-1) and Jaime Morell's Sun Fast 36 Mestral Fast (1-2). Only one point separates them to the front of the table.
The Viper class held the three planned tests and already has six partials in its locker. The best of the day were again the same protagonists of the previous day: Lawrence Crispin's Hissing Sid (2-4-1) and the RCNP Palma de Pedro Marí (1-1-2), which stands at the front of the provisional for the final day.
In class J80, the Miquel Pujadas Attila was able to defend the leadership achieved yesterday by signing a 2-2-1 partial. They also won sleeves today the Aloja (1-3-4) and the Cooper Rigging (3.5-1-3), which remains second in the fight for the title.
At Flying Fifteen, Timothy Goodbody's Perfect Alibi showed the best performance of the category (2-1-1), breaking the imbatibility of the still leader, James Waugh's Puffin (1-2-2). Only two points separate them in the provisional.
In Dragon class, Eddie Owen's Mercury repeated the excellent performance of the opening day, winning two of the three trials disputed and scoring a second on the last one. He leads the class by two points in front of Otto Pohlmann's Meerblick.
The Hansa 303 debu in individual category allowed to complete four tests in the area of races closest to the RCNP. Undisputed victory for the Alex 3 Foundation by Sergio Roig thanks to a partial of 1-1-1-3. They'll compete in a double mode tomorrow.
In Epoch / Classics, the winner of the coast was the most veteran ship of the fleet, the Marigan of Tim Liesenhoff, an impressive Cutter Craja of 1898 that now heads the provisional of the category. In the Spirit of Tradition, he repeated the triumph and defended the leadership of the SHE 31 1.7 of 1973 January Sails, patronized by Gabriel Catalá.
