The Catalan-Galaian tandem has brought to Spain the silver medal

Jordi Xammar and Nicolás Rodríguez are the new subchampions of Europe of the Olympic class 470. The Spanish team won the silver medal and ended up in the fourth position of the general open classification. In six days of competition, and two blank days, Xammar and Rodríguez added a partial of 8 + 1 + 3 + 3 + 4 plus a DNF after breaking the stick on the last Saturday test, and recorded a 14 (seventh position) on the medal race.

In the female category, Silvia Mas and Patricia Cantero finished the European Championship in the fifth position, just four points from the podium. Mas y Cantero came to the last day holding the third European position but in the medal race they were overcome by their direct rivals. Still, Mas and Cantero finished the last race in the sixth position with what they placed in the fifth square of the open and European general classification.
