In the absence of three sailing designations for the "race test" of Enoshima face to Tokyo 2020

The Laser Standard, 49er and 49er FX class squares remain to be decided... in the case of the Laser the classification races are the already disputed Princess Sofia Trophy and the European Championship to be held in Porto, Portugal, from 18 to 25 May... for the 49er and FX the results will be recorded at the Sofia Trophy and the European Championship that will be held in Weymouth, England, from 13 to 19 May.
The Olympic Preparation Committee of the Royal Spanish Vela Federation has designated the first crews to compete for Spain at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Test Event to be held from 15 to 22 August this year in Enoshima, Japan.
Blanca Manchón, the only regatist with a nominal square confirmed to compete in Tokyo 2020, will be the national representative in RS: X female. For his part, Ivan Pastor has been the sportsman chosen in male tables, a class that also has the country square for the 2020 Olympic Games but in which the representative remains to decide. The result of both athletes in the European Championship of their class was decisive for their classification for this test.
In addition to the tables, Spain also has its presence in Tokyo 2020 in the male and female categories of class 470 although the nominal square is still to be decided. For the Olympic test race the selected crews have been Jordi Xammar and Nicolás Rodríguez, in male, and Silvia Mas and Patricia Cantero, in female.
Both crews achieved their classification as the best of the national fleet in the Princess Sofia Trophy. This race was also decisive for the Laser Radial and Finn classes, winning the Fátima Reyes and Alejandro Muscat square.
In Nacra 17 the team that will compete for Spain at the Olympic Test Event will be that formed by Iker Martínez and Olga Maslivets. In the case of the Nacra 17 the ranking races were the Princess Sofia Trophy and the Genoa World Cup; in this last test Martinez and Maslivets won the gold medal.
