One of the promises then... Diego Botín collecting his prize from the Gijón sports councilman (Photo Manuel Pedro Seoane) How time has passed has already been almost a twenty years since that Grumete Pescanova Regata that organized Triente with the support of the Club Marítimo Astur de Regatas de Gijón, and the sponsorship of Pescanova and Aister was one of the races with one of the most beautiful outcomes of which I have lived: the project was clear, to organize a Week of Semanas in all the northern Spain of the hand of Pescanova, and for this was chosen from the beginning of the Vixte de José, and from the beginning of the Viette de la Vixente (the first of the Vixente). They were able to gather about 200 optimist from several countries, thanks to the personal effort of Triente, José Luis Muñiz (Marítimo de Santander), Fernando Giraldo and Pedro Quiroga (Náutico de Vigo) and Eduardo García Santamarina (Marítimo del Abra), as well as the Astorian Vela Federation, the Gijón Sports Port that then had Fredy at the front as a technician and Aister, without forgetting the marketing and commercial staff of Pescanova in Vigo. Among the stars confirmed in the optimist, Juliá Antenriecht of the Bayer of Munich Yacht Club champion of the world among the promises Luis Bugallo, Diego Botín the most original is that the award-winning in the MUSEO OF THE FERROCARRIL DE GIJON, my vice for the train and that of my son Pedro who was a small Lince, were decisive to convince the authorities of Gijón the German that also won! _ Please do not miss the photos (right button of your mouse and enlarge them) because they have no waste ah! I do not go out on any because I am the one who did them as always running Manuel Pedro Seoane General Director of Abanca Week 2000-2025
