Good level of participation, with 150 ships in the river of Vigo

The sixth edition of the April Oils Trophy of Optimist, organized by the Fundación Club Náutico de Vigo and the Real Club Náutico, was again overtaken by the quality of the regatists, belonging to eleven clubs throughout the autonomous community, and the quantity, as they met about 150 by including the trophy a competition for the young values of the school.

Thus, the Ria de Vigo awarded the triumph in this Galician qualifying race to Bruno Ameneiro (RCN Sanxenxo) in Sub-16, Stella Enríquez (RCN Vigo) in the female category, Natalia Domínguez (RCN Sanxenxo) in Sub-13, Nora Nieto (RCN La Coruña) in the blue group and Nicolás Bastos in the Nautico school category.

With excellent weather both Saturday and Sunday, the favorites did not fail... Ameneiro, leader of the Galician ranking and champion of the 2017 edition, was made with the triumph in the yellow group (series 2-2-2- [5] -3-4) with 13 points and a perfect regularity, escorted by two regatists of the Maritime of Canido, Mario Soares (1- [8] -4- 1- 7-3 and 16 points) and Andrés Barreiro (7- [20] -1-3-2-6, 19 points) and they completed the three places of honor Sub-16. Nuno Meijide, of the organizing club, remained at the doors of the podium, adding the same points as Barreiro (4-5- [22] -7-1-2) but having the most third.

In the general of the yellow group Stella Enríquez concluded fifth with 26 points (5-1-5- [DNS] -5-10), so he took the trophy of female champion. The vineyard is another of the Galician regatists. The April Oils Trophy of Optimist, which meets its sixth edition, is one of the Galician citations required of the class... because of its condition of classification for the Galician selection, it will take to the water this weekend some 150 regatists of eleven Galician clubs, under the organization of the Nautical Vigo Foundation and the Real Nautical Vigo Club itself.

In the Ria de Vigo there will be the best, with host club options for Stella Enríquez, fourth of the Galician ranking (102 points), and Nuno Meijide in Sub-16 and Inés Ameneiro in Sub-13. The world of Vaurien, Alejandra Suárez, is the coach of the Vigo fleet.

In addition, the championship will be the best of the autonomous community, including Bruno Ameneiro (RCN Sanxenxo), leader of the ranking with 28 points and winner of the Viguese race in 2017, Pablo Rodríguez (RCN Rodeira), who goes second (64), Adriana Pérez-Canal (Marítimo de Canido), third (91) or Mencía Casas (Marítimo de Canido), fifth classified (102).
