White day at the Catalan Cruise Championship for the absence of wind... so "Rats on Fire" by Rafael Carbonell was imposed in group 0 and 1 by winning the two contested tests.
L'Immens - Laplaza Assessors was proclaimed winner in ORC 2 after imposing on the two tests, while Vertigo Two - Texia would tie with Tramendu in the first place of the morning race on Saturday, to master the second test in Class ORC 3. Adagi 3108 won the only race in the ORC 4 and 5 classes.

In the trophy delivery at the Real Club Náutico in Barcelona, the most veteran ORC yachts have also been awarded, within the Vintage classification, which was won by Adagi 3108 by Francesc Fayol, followed by the prototype Two Ton, Nuba II by Francisco Iglesias and the Grand Soleil 45 Xeic by Joaquin Barenys. The team award has been taken by Es Tes Unno, Vertigo Two - Texia and Tramendu. The classifications of each group were as follows:

The first day of the Catalonia ORC Cruise Championship has been held on wind tours; the larger ships, completed 2 tests on 6-mile tours for the older and 4.5 for the smaller ones... Groups 4 and 5 only competed a test on a nearly 8-mile tour.

The veteran and unrelenting Swan 45 Rats on Fire by Rafael Carbonell dominated the two tests among those of the largest length while the Comet 45S Des - ahuogo by María Millán and the Czech Swan 42 Daring Sisters by Tomas Doleazi, took turns in the second and third positions.

The also veteran Synergy 40 L'Immens - Laplaza Assesors, by Alexandre Laplaza also imposed on the two tests of the group ORC 2, while the Dufour 44 Race is Tes Unno... by Francisco Soldevila would end second in both.

Vertigo dos - Texia, the Salona 37 of the recently deceased Antonio Guasch, the historical patron of the Spanish cruise, would be imposed in ORC 3 in hard competition with Tramendu, the Dehler 36 JV of Salvador Vieta.

The group ORC 4 only competed in a test that would win the Optima 101, Adagi 3108 of Francesc Fayol. For Sunday the second day, with a coastal tour ahead.

The Catalan Cruises ORC in Barcelona by the hand of the Royal Nautical Club

The Federació Catalana de Vela and the Real Club Náutico de Barcelona, organize for this weekend the ORC Cruise Championship of Catalonia... it is expected that no more than three can be held.

Rats on Fire, by Rafael Carbonell (CN Arenys de Mar), L'Immens d'Alexandre Laplaza (RCN Barcelona) and Tramendu de Salvador Vieta (RCNB) winners in ORC 1, 2 and 3 of the Campionat Interclubs 2019, will be the contenders to beat without any doubt.

Blue de Diana Corominas, Des-aogo de María Millán or Kajsa III de Rolf Auf Ded Mut, (RCNB), are three other very serious competitors of ORC1, which will also be beaten with the Duende 50 of Jacinto Rodríguez and the TP 52 Saiola XIII of Toni Guiu of ORC0.

In ORC2, the largest class, is Tes Unno de Francisco Soldevila, Blue Rocket de Jordi Brufau or Miriapdo de Luís M. Romeo (RCNB) will try to get the podium or at least share it with the imbatible L'Immens d'Alexandre Laplaza.
