The Trophy José Luis Azqueta-WOR 60 became its 18th edition in another great party of light sailing. During two good days to sail, they competed in the Vizcaine waters of the Abra regatists Vizcayos, Gipuzcoans, Alavises, Navarre, Cantabros and Asturians. And, in the end, the most prominent were Juan Olábarri and Miguel Antona, from the Real Club Marítimo del Abra - Real Sporting Club, which were awarded this edition by finishing a full of six wins in its class 420. In addition, Manolo Rey-Baltar won in the Laser Radial class, Tanis Rey-Baltar did in Laser 4.7, Mariana and Inés Herrero in the FEVA class, Marco Espinosa in Optimist A and Jon Berastegui in Optimist B.
On the other hand, the Laser Radial class found a great emotion for the final triumph as Manolo Rey-Baltar ended up with eight points, as did his club partner Tomás Trueba, both of the Rey-Baltar Maritime, managed to impose himself by winning in the last and decisive race, in which Trueba was second. In addition, Tanis Rey-Baltar, also from the host club of Las Arenas, noted the class Laser 4.7 (11 points), by exceeding by three points the Asturian Fernando Alonso and six to the Navarro Juan Eraso. Already in the FEVA class, the best were Mariana and Inés Herrero, who beat their companions from the Royal Club Marítimo del Abra Nerea Alvarez and Arantxa Sellhor0 by one point.
The Hondarribitarra Marco Espinosa took the trophy in the Optimist class, with the vizcadino Gabriel Oraá in the second square and the gipuzcoan Javier Zapiain in the third. 150 regatists took part in the 18th Trophy José Luis Azqueta- WOR 60, which ended with north-east winds of 8 to 10 knots.

The Trophy José Luis Azqueta-WOR 60 completed its first day in the waters of the Abra with more than a hundred boats and 150 regatists in its eighteenth edition, organized by the legendary Royal Maritime Club of the Abra-Real Sporting Club
After the first tours, the leaders are Juan Olábarri and Miguel Antona with their first three positions in the 420 class, Manolo Rey-Baltar (with two first squares) in the Laser Radial class, Tanis Rey-Baltar (also with two wins) in the Laser 4.7, Nerea Alvarez and Arantxa Sellhorn in FEVA and Álex Amunarriz in the Optimist class.
This Sunday is the final tests that will decide to the winners of one of the most relevant quotes of the wide calendar organized by the Maritime and in which they take part regatists Vizcayos, Gipuzcoans, Alavises, Navarre, Cantabros and Asturians.

The Trophy José Luis Azqueta-WOR 60 becomes this year of age. And there are already 18 editions that fulfill one of the most important quotes of light candle in the Cantabrian sea. The Vizcaina waters of the Abra this weekend receive one of the most relevant tests of the wide calendar that program the Basque light candle. About 150 young Basque and Cantabrian regatists participate in one of the most popular competitions in this specialty: the José Luis Azqueta- WOR 60.
There will be six seams (three on Saturday 27, from 13: 00, and three on Sunday 28, from 11.30: 00). After their development, the winners will be discovered in the Optimist, Laser, FEVA, 420 and Snipe classes. In addition, this light-sailing competition serves every year as a tribute to José Luis Azqueta, who was president of the Real Club Marítimo del Abra - Real Sporting Club between 1993 and 1997... and comfortable in several stages... the figure of José Luis Azqueta is indispensable, in the history of the sailing in the Basque Country.
In the last edition, the absolute winner was the hondarribitarra Jon Almandoz, who was imposed in the Laser class 4.7. In the Laser Radial class he won Manolo Rey Baltar (7 points), while in the 420 class they defeated Peru and Joana Abasola and in the FEVA class did Alba Ortega and Telma Aja... the most busy class, that of Optimist, went to Txomin del Rincón, with Gabriel Arrutia champion in Optimist B.
