Attractive season in the waters of the bay of Cadiz, by the hand of Puerto Sherry

From next May and until November of this year 2019 the Nautical Club Puerto Sherry of the marina of El Puerto de Santa María (Cadiz) will host two worlds, two cups of Spain and the race circuit of the class considered the 'Formula 1' of the sea, the TP52.

The calendar starts on May 15 with the Optimist Spanish Cup. Some 200 small regatists between 6 and 15 years from all over Spain will compete in this race after having achieved their place in the autonomous classification systems. On the 15th of May it will be dedicated to inscriptions and measurements and from 16 to 18 will take place 3 days of competition with 3 tests planned each day, to complete the total of 9 tests scheduled. The National Teams for the World Championship and the European Championship will be formed here.

Also in May, from 23 to 26, the Spanish Cup of Catamaran is held. Catamarans from all over Spain divided into three fleets: Class A (CA), Formula 18 (F18) and Hobie Cat 16 (HC16) will meet in Puerto Sherry. A hundred high-level regatists such as Mitch Boot (F18), Manuel Calavia (CA) and Anton Paz (CA) are expected to be present, among others. On the first day, May 23, the day will be devoted to free measurements and training and from the 24th a total of 3 tests per day will be held, up to a maximum of 9 sleeves scheduled.

In June he arrived at the Bay of Cadiz by the hand of Puerto Sherry the 'Formula 1' of the sea, the circuit 52 Super Series (17- 22 June). Puerto Sherry will be one of the selected headquarters of the best race circuit for monocasque ships in the world, which will have its second stop in this marina. It is the first time in history that this circuit passes through Andalusia. The calendar of the 52 SUPER SERIES for the 2019 season is a great novelty with two tests in Atlantic waters, one in Puerto Sherry, from where the race will go directly to Cascais to close the Atlantic cycle in July.

The first week of July (1-7 July) three classes of ships will fill the waters of the Bay of Cadiz, the class 2.4metre, the Hansa 303 class and the RS Venture class with colourful (for World Sailing Championship). Very competitive boats carried by female and male crew members who will offer an unparalleled show. From all over the world, they will meet in the waters of the Bay of Cadiz Paralympic regatists, many of them Olympic medal winners. All of this has to be joined by the social component of an event of these characteristics, an example of unparalleled inclusion and overcoming. In fact, His Majesty King Don Felipe has accepted the presidency of the honor of this race, which has the collaboration of La Caixa Social Work.

Finally, from October 26 to November 2, the asphaltic beach of Puerto Sherry, one of the largest in the world, will be the starting point for the more than 300 windsurfers under the age of 17 from all over the world who will play the Techno 293 World Championship. The Windsurfing Techno293 class has an extraordinary palmaris in the celebration of World Championships of previous editions with sites such as San Francisco (USA), Brest (France), Weymouth (UK), Cagliari (Italy) or Formentera (Spain), among others. Now it's the turn of the Gaditan Bay.
