The penultimate day of the Spanish championship of Optimist that has been playing in the waters of Valencia since last Tuesday and which ends tomorrow Friday, April 19, is closed with the groups Oro and Plata configured. A day that has been for Titans because the harsh weather conditions, reaching 25 knots of intensity, and waves up to 3 meters, have tested the regatists and the regatta committee, being able to hold only one test of the three planned.

Few surprises among the first of the table in a day for Titans. The canary Javier Ojeda (RCN Gran Canaria) sails firmly to achieve the national title and although today he has achieved his third partial win his score does not allow him to say that he is virtual champion, when the final series remains with three planned tests. The second square is for David Santaccreu with 16 points, 7 of the leader, while Marc Mesquida (CN S'Arenal) goes up and places third.

Maria Perelló (CN S'Arenal), for its part, also steps hard to reach a new title, although its advantage with the Catalan Nora García (CN Masnou) is only 3 points. The third place in this category is for the Canaria Alejandra Pérez (RCN Canaria) that only the rudder rod break in the last test when it went to the head (DNF) left it without options to achieve a better position.

As for the SUB13 Nicola Sadler (CN S'Arenal) is still leading the women, today it has not managed to finish the test, but it has not been a problem to continue to maintain its advantage over Sara Díaz (RCN Gran Canaria). The Susana Bestard (RCN Palma) is third.

Pol Núñez (RCN Gran Canaria) continues to send in boys. In today's test has ended at position 28 of the yellow group. Roberto Aguilar (CNM Benalmádea) is second while Curro Pasucal (CN Can Pastilla) is third.
