Hard conditions in La Coruña Bay

On a very hard day that tested the expertise of the regatists, a new day of the light-sail AdAstra Trophy in the Coruñesa bay was held... 60 regatists went out to sea where the young athletes had to bear the north-west winds of 20 knots in the first three tests and where there were rachas that overtook them... in the sleeves there were ships of the Finnish, laser and optimist classes.

In Finn, three races were held and in all three Miguel Fernández Vasco was intrepable with so many other triumphs. Antonio Parra got two seconds and a third, and Chuny Bermudez de Castro got a second and two sexts. In fourth place, David Rivero achieved a sixth and two-fifths and Ignacio Nieto managed to start a third place in one of the sleeves.

Four sleeves were held and Marta Tábara was imposed on all. Matilde Fernández achieved the second place in the four races and Carlos González took the third place when he achieved that position in all the races. This as far as Laser 4.7 is concerned. At Laser Radio Irene Rodríguez won in three of the sleeves and in the other he won a second place. Enrique Vilariño with two third and two second was the third in the day.

Four were also the races played in the smaller class of the boats, where there was a lot of sports struggle, with a six-point tie between Fernando Núñez Talín and Claudia Díaz Sánchez, with two first and two second positions, respectively. The third provisional square of the day was for Mauro González Regueral and the fourth for Laura Sánchez Hernández. Mauro even achieved two third and Laura a third place in one of the sleeves.
