The 50 Princess Sofia Trophy of Cruises and Monotypes, organized by the Real Club Náutico de Palma, the Club Marítimo San Antonio de la Playa and the Club Nàutic S'Arenal with the collaboration of the Balearic Federation of Vela, concluded today with the victory of the six ships that arrived as leaders on the last day. There were therefore no surprises, but there was great emotion in the ORC 1 class, where the Airlan Aermec, of the shipowner Juan Cabrer, patroned by Teo Matheu, managed to impose itself despite being tied to 7.5 points with the Modul, thanks to the last race being awarded. The east wind, unstable in intensity (6 to 13 knots) and direction (65 to 80 degrees), was the most complicated of the three days of competition, in which 62 ships have taken part.
