The Comunitat Valenciana already has its new Autonomical Champions of Cruises and Optimist B by Teams. The weather has marked the second day in Alicante and has conditioned the entire program of activities of Alicante Puerto de Encounter. The rain and the lack of wind at the beginning of the day, although it has then arrived at about 1 p.m. with about 12-14 knots of the 070º that has allowed to complete the coastal tour of 8.7 miles for the Cruises and the Round Robin of the final series for the Optimist.

In the Cruise fleet, with two tests completed on the Saturday day plus the coastal race on this second day, the new Autonomical champion in ORC 1 is the Greenwich Marina of Dominique Luna, sailing the CN Campomanes, who today has signed a new partial win. The race's podium is closed with the April Fish Bat (CN Portmán) that ends up tied with 5 points, 1 points with the winner, and the Ithaca IX (RCN Calpe), adding 10.

As for the ORC 2 the Torreviejense Maverta, of the RCN Torrevieja, armed by Pedro Gil, is made with the title, after today signing a second in the coastal regara. He is accompanied by the Guaguanco II podium (CN Altea), winner today in this group, and Spirit Marine Four (RCR Alicante). As regards the 3-4 ORC the regional champion is the local Tanit IV Medilevel of Mª José Vila sailing the RCR Alicante. The Alicantino has imposed its law at home and has been the only ship to add three partial wins on three completed tests. The second and third places have been for Kalamandurrio (CN Altea) and Pajuelín XIII Benidorm (CN Benidorm).

The Autonomical Cruise and Team Optimist B Championships close their first day meeting the program. Bright day for sailing in the capital of the Costa Blanca, within the incomparable framework of the activities envisaged in the program Alicante Puerto de Encuentro, which has had the collaboration of the Federation of Vela de la Comunitat Valenciana and the clubs headquarters of the regional tests: RCR Alicante and CN Alicante Costa Blanca.

After the two tests and once the times have been compensated, the favorites have met the expectations. In the 'big' Marina Greenwich (CN Campomanes), with 2-1 partials, it is placed provisional leader in ORC 1, yes, sharing that first position with another of the great favorites, the Bat Pez de Abril (CN Portmán) with numbers of 1-2. The third position is for the Calpine Ithaca IX (RCN Calpe) that has signed two third posts.

As for ORC 2, those who opt for podium have also demonstrated their level. Maverta (RCN Torrevieja) has imposed its law and with two partial wins for what the group leads. After the torreviejense they follow Guaguanco II (CN Altea) with 4 points (2-2) and Spirit Marine Four (RCR Alicante) with 6 points (3-3).

With regard to the groups ORC 3-4, the local Tanit IV (RCR Alicante) has been established leader after closing its participation with two partial wins. Kalamandurrio (CN Alta) is second with 4 points (2-2) while Pajuelín XIII Benidorm (CN Benidorm) is third with 7 points (3-4).

The fleet of the Optimist B, with 10 teams, have contributed a more show to the activities planned by Alicante Puerto de Encuentro, developing all its competition in the interior of the port of Alicante, so the numerous audience that has visited the village of the 'The Ocean Race' has enjoyed the competition of the young promises of the sailing of the Valencia Community. After the completion of two round robin (series of meetings) and the establishment of the strip between the two third parties of each group, the Oro and Plata groups were established.

In the first one, with RCN Denia, RCN Valencia, CN Altea, RCN Calpe and RCR Alicante, with 4 disputed meetings, Denia and Calpe are placed provisional leaders after winning their two meetings. Results that have also been a calco in the Silver group, configured by the clubs of the RCN Torrevieja, CN Jávea, CN Santa Pola, CN Alicante Costa Blanca and CN Campello, in which Torrevieja and Campello lead the group after four meetings were completed.
