The Palma Nautical Hall will have several exhibitors who advocate for environmental protection

The Palma International Boat Show, organized by the Institut d'Innovació Empresarial de les Illes Balears (IDI), will hold its 36th edition from April 27 to May 1, 2019 at the Moll Vell in Palma, with a commitment to sustainability.

In this way, the nautical lounge is a challenge for the sector towards new technologies that seek to improve aspects such as efficiency in electric and hybrid engines and smoke-free, being more environmentally friendly.

Thus, in this new edition, the Palma International Boat Show will have several exhibitors that maintain a strong commitment of the nautical for sustainability. It will certainly be a good example of the trend of the nautical market.

Making navigation easier, improving connectivity and efficiency and reducing emissions are some of the objectives of most firms that will show their novelties during the five days that the event will take place.

In terms of engines, innovation in electronics is required to achieve greater efficiency in consumption and performance. New models of less noisy, smoke-free, more autonomous electric and hybrid (diesel and electric) engines will be displayed.

It also highlights the presence of some shipowners working with electric ships, as well as a 'mestre d'aixa' which is responsible for the construction of more sustainable wood vessels and for electric propulsion.

In addition to the products to be offered, in the framework of the activities planned for the nautical hall, it is worth noting the day of cleaning of the seas to be held on Saturday, May 4 in the waters of the bay of Palma, or other initiatives such as the loading of reusable water bottles or solutions to the purification of drinking water from the water of the sea.
