The Guadalimar Trophy, the first light sailing event of 2019 organized by the Royal Maritime Club of the Abra-Real Sporting Club, was decided in the Abra after five sleeves with final victory of Jaime Hernando and Telma Aja in the FEVA class, César Gutiérrez in the Laser class 4.7, Tomás Trueba in Laser Radial, Juan Olábarri and Miguel Antona in the 420 class, Gabriel Oraá in the Optimist class A and Álvaro Bouza in Optimist B. A hundred Basque and Cantabrian regatists took part in this test organized by the Royal Maritime Club of the Abra-Real Sporting Club.

On the first day of Saturday, very suitable to sail with four completed tours, he was followed by the most complicated on Sunday in which they continuously entered the chubascos and winds of up to 24 knots, so only one sleeve could be disputed. This served for Jaime Hernando and Telma Aja to unblock from the first place in the FEVA class to Nerea Alvarez and Arantxa Sellhorn, who also finished second with seven points as the winning couple.

César Gutiérrez clearly dominated the Laser 4.7 class with four first positions and a second square ahead of Aier Piepoli and Cristina Terry, while Tomás Trueba was the best without discussion in Laser Radial (three first positions and a second), overcoming Andoni Lejarraga, Ignacio Aja and Iñigo Abásolo. In addition, Juan Olábarri and Miguel Antona maintained their leadership in class 420, in which César Vega and Vidal de la Torre, and Peru and Joana Abásolo, completed the podium.

For its part, Gabriel Oraá (RCMA-RSC) continued first in the busy Optimist class to reedit his title last year. He took six points to Candela Escobedo and nine to his partner at Club Ane Lejarraga. In Optimist B, Alvaro Bouza was imposed by one point on Juan Edelman and by two on Borja Villalonga.
