For the fourth consecutive year the 200 miles A2 returned to the Trophy for Clubs... this year the trophy has been for the Royal Nautical Club of Valencia with the ships Brujo, Ziving and Balu
Brujo, from the Real Club Náutico de Valencia, patronized by Alberto De Castro and with Axel Rodger as a crew has first entered at 23: 30 on Saturday on the finish line. The 35-hour and 23-minute brand they have obtained has served both to be real-time winners and to win this 33-year edition once the compensation has been applied.
For the fourth consecutive year, the 200 miles A2 returned to the Trophy for Clubs, a award that awards the club whose team has the best results. This year the trophy has been for the Royal Nautical Club of Valencia thanks to the ships Brujo, Ziving and Balu.
The X Merit of Tito Moure and Stephan Azoni went up to collect the award as a third classified and the Ziving, by Javier Arbona and Marcos Aliaga of RCN Valencia, was made with the second position in this edition. Both received two ingots of a quarter of a kilo and a half a kilo of silver respectively.

It began in Altea, the 3th edition of the 200 Mile A2, with a splendid participation of 31 ships of cruise-regatta... heading to the idyllic Ibiza, with soft winds. The time limits of this historic journey range from 45 hours of the "Wizard" which is the largest ship in the fleet, or the "Alzira Moraira" and "Phonemovil..." to 60 hours of the smallest among all who are in the race: "Marina VI," "Vagabundo" and "Etreus II."
27 / 02 / 2019: The 200 miles A2 of Altea begins on Saturday with 33 teams
A total of 33 teams with two crew members will participate this year in the most important nautical cruise challenge of the national landscape, the 33 edition of the Winter Regata 200 miles a2 organized by the Nautical Club of Altea and with the collaboration of the Federation of Sailing of the Valencia Community and the City of Altea.
The Organizing Committee of the race has appeared at a press conference on Tuesday in the pattern room of the Nautical Club of Altea to explain the details of this edition: Pere Barber, sports council of the City of Altea, Carlos Torrado, president of the Federation of Sailing of the Valencia Community and Alvaro Arroyo, sports director of the Nautical Club of Altea.
To open the event, the award has been given to the winner of the 200-mile-a-2 Official Cartel Design Contest, the student Alberto Buj. A contest that already goes for its third edition in collaboration with the Faculty of Fine Arts of Altea of Miguel Hernández University. The award was awarded by the vice-president of the Faculty of Fine Arts, Miguel Lorente, the city council of Altea, Diego Zaragozí and Francisco Andrés Buigues, vice president of the Nautical Club of Altea.
The race, which will start next Friday March 1 at 12: 00 noon from the Altea Nautical Club, will travel the 200 miles between Altea-Ibiza-Altea. As Álvaro Arroyo, Director Deportivo of the CN Altea has explained, the ships will start the navigation from Altea to border Ibiza by starboard, leave Formentera also by starboard and return to Altea. It is expected that the first participants will begin to arrive on Saturday, March 2.
In addition, since last year's edition, the two crew members have an individual GPS that they can use to send an alert that comes directly to the 24-hour control centre that is installed in the Club.
In addition to having two follow-up ships in the head and tail, which carry both medical assistance and radio communication, the support and collaboration of Salvamento Marítimo, Guardia Civil and the Navy will be available. There will be representatives from different parts of Spain and will have the best specialists a2 of the national territory, regatists like Didac Costa, ocean navigator well recognized in the sailing world for his adventure in the return to the world of the Vendée Globe, will take the exit this Friday.
The Clubs Trophy will be at stake again, which will reward the club whose team will get the best results and who will take this emblematic trophy to its facilities... this year there will be four clubs that will choose this award: the CN Altea, the RCN Calpe, the RCN Valencia and the RCR Alicante.
