La Gala de la Vela Gallega, on Friday, March 15 in A Coruña, will honor the "Galicia 93 Pescanova"

The Executive Committee of the European Junior Championship of 420 and 470 of the Royal Galician Federation of Vela, chaired by Manuel Villaverde, is already in progress... the president of the autonomous federal state, presented to his working team, composed of Viviana García, José Ángel Rodríguez, Pedro Piñeiro, Ignacio Campos, Bruno Gago and José Manuel Paredes.

The European is to be held for the first time in Galicia (23-30 July and the Ria de Arousa is the chosen enclave) and Villaverde's commission to its group is clear: the budget of the event will be covered with external resources and without affecting the budgets of the Royal Galician Federation of Vela approved last December. For the RFGV this event is "a challenge" that illuminates by counting Galicia with the continental champions sub-17, the Arousan Jacobo García and the Coruñés Toni Ripoll that competes for the Real Nautical Club of Sanxenxo, and sub-19, the Vigués Martín Wizner and the Pontevedrés Pedro Ameneiro of the Real Nautical Club of Vigo.

In addition, Villaverde announced that the Gala de la Vela Gallega will take place this year in A Coruña (Auditorium of the Headquarters of Aficio and Salons of the Royal Nautical Club of La Coruña) on March 15... in the event there will be, among other homenajes to be revealed, a very special one to the twenty-fifth anniversary of the end of the World Tour of "Galicia 93 Pescanova," whose Galician crew members patroned by Javier de la Gandara will be awarded for that third place.
