A wind with no desire to stabilise and disappeared for a moment forced the suspension, on the afternoon of Saturday in the waters of Baiona Bay, of the penultimate day of the Winter League of J80 organized by Mount Real Club of Yates.

It was, without a doubt, a very complicated day for navigation, in which the conditions for the celebration of the competition were never achieved. Thus, after several hours of fruitless water, the race committee decided to suspend the day.

With this tenderness, the Winter League of J80 will reach its last stage with everything yet to be decided. Javier de la Gandara's Okofen is, to this day, the favorite to take the title. After imposing on the previous day he takes 7 points to the Cansino of Fernando Yáñez and the Namasté of Luis de Mira, which are tied in second and third position.

A relentless Javier de la Gandara led Okofen this afternoon to the top of the J80 Winter League classification, which the Mount Real Club of Yates has been organizing since the beginning of the year in Baiona Bay. On this fourth day, and only two stages to the end of the championship, Gandara and his team managed to climb from third to first. They did so forcefully, leading the fleet from beginning to end, and making an important margin for their rivals at the time of crossing the line of arrival.

With the rise of Okofen to the first position, the Cansino of the comandoro del Monte Real, Fernando Yáñez, who was coming in leader, is now second, tied to 13 points with the Namasté de Luis de Mira. Both, and despite being somewhat away from the 7 points of the Okofen, are the two crews that have the most chance to stay on the final podium.

At the greatest distance are the Miudo led by Carlos Hernández; the Mondo de Bernardo Macedo with 20 points; the Luna Nueva de Juan Luis Tuero with 21 points; and the Pazo de Cea de María Campos with 22 points. The classification of the Cormoran II of Yago G. Robatto is closed; and two ships that could not compete today: the Virazto of Miguel Lago and the Cunichán of Javier Martínez Valente.

The next day of competition will be held on March 23 and there will be only one more stage, on April 6, to decide the winner of the Winter League J80... for the moment things are like this after the fourth day:

1. OKAFEN · GANDARA JAVIER · 7 Points
2. CANSINO · FERNANDO YANEZ · 13 Points
3. NAMASTÉ · MIRA LUIS · 13 Points
4. _
5. MONDO · BERNARDO MACEDO · 20 Points

The Cansino became the first leader of the Winter League of the J80 class, which organizes the Mount Real Club of Yates and is disputed until next April in Baiona Bay. The J80 patroniado by the comandoro of the club of Baionés Fernando Yáñez closed the markers of the third day - the first punctuable after the annulment of the first two because of the weather - with two points in the two tests disputed with a rather loose north-west wind, with an average of 4-5 knots and peaks of 7.

In the first test, the Cansino crossed the line of arrival ahead of the Okofen of Javier de la Gandara and the Namasté of Luis de Mira, who were second and third. The crossing of the three on the arrival line was very tight and that situation was repeated in the second test.

In it, the Cansino reiterated his victory, and the second and third place turned over with respect to the initial test, placing the Namasto of Luis de Mira before the Okofen of the Gandara.
The race committee, chaired by José Ángel Rodríguez, gave way to a third test, but the sailboats were barely able to fight half an hour of test, as the wind completely disappeared and left the jotes unable to complete it.

So things, the Cansino with 2 points, and the Namasté and the Okofen with 5, are fully involved in the struggle for the victory of the Winter League. Below in the classification are, with 10 points, the Mondo de Bernardo Macedo; with 11 the Miudo de Carlos Hernández and the Pazo de Cea de María Campos; with 12 the New Moon; and closing classification three ships that were not yet able to inaugurate marker, the Cormorán II of Yago G. Robatto; the Virazo of Miguel Lago and the Cunichán of Javier Martínez Valente.

After this opening day, the Winter League of J80 returns to water in 15 days, on Saturday March 9, with the fourth series of tests, which will be the second punctuable... again, three barlovento sotavento tours for a fleet willing to fight for a title that will be resolved on the last day, scheduled for April 6.
