23 countries in the Andalusian Olympic Week of Sailing in the Bay of Cadiz

The Bay of Cadiz will have 250 participants in the Andalusian Olympic Week from February 28 to March 3
250 participants from 23 countries will compete between February 28 and March 3 at the 14th Andalusian Olympic Week in which the 19th Carnival Trophy will also be held in the waters of the Bay of Cadiz. A competition organized by the Andalusian Federation of Vela by delegation of the Royal Spanish Federation of Vela, with the sponsorship of the Junta de Andalucía, the Provincial Diputación de Cadiz, the City Council of El Puerto de Santa María and with the collaboration of Puerto Sherry.
The test, which has its headquarters in the Specialized Centre for Sports Tecnification of Vela Bahia de Cadiz (CETDV), has been presented in the Diputación with the participation of the Sports Member, Jaime Armario, the mayor of El Puerto, David de la Encina, and the president of the Andalusian Federation of Vela, Francisco Coro, who has reported on the participation of athletes in the sailing week and has highlighted the tourist impact of it for the city.
"The race has for years been an important asset for the promotion, tourism and economy of the city and the province of headquarters, since to the 250 athletes we have to add another hundred people between technical staff and family, with an average stay of ten days, "said Francisco Coro. "In addition, the race employs a total of 30 people, including water, land, marine and safety personnel, with volunteers and assistance from the Andalusian Centre for Sports Medicine."
The athletes who will play the race are integrated into 9 classes... in play is the Spanish Championship for Laser Standard; the Spanish Cup for RS: X Male / Female and Sub 21, and the Andalusian Cup for Techno-Laser Radio-Laser Standard-Laser 4.7 and RS: X 8.5.
