Meeting in the Consistory of a representation of the Organizing Committee of the Abanca Week, with its sports holder, Manel Fernández. Manuel Pedro Seoane general secretary of which is the most important multiclase event in Spain, Carlos Sande admiral of the series of regatas and Javier Herrera president of the Olívico Club of Piragüismo, held a long meeting in which they presented to the town council the ambitious design that the Abanca Week will have in this edition.

So suddenly there is the empowerment of pyragüism, which will move from being a sport within the event with a symbolic presence, to having a great role. The Galician Federation is suddenly turning, and it is already certain that an international competition will be held with about a thousand young palists.

For its part, the candle that in September had the so-called Coca Cola Canido Series in viguese waters will be named after Vigo, and even though it will remain dedicated to the pre-Olympic candle, it will undergo a strong remodeling and will be boosted. The idea is to have a participation of two hundred ships, with a strong representation of the Mediterranean fleets.

The meeting also outlined that it will consist of Iberonautics, which will be supported by the Campus of the Sea in 2019, and will deal with sustainable maritime navigation, held in mid-November. This international congress presided over by Francisco García de Bodadilla will be the one that marks the end of the week, after two months of competitions, which will take place in the waters of the Rías de Vigo, Marín-Pontevedra, Sada, Ares and A Coruña, as well as in the waters of northern Portugal... it is expected that in the next few days the participation of a large community of the interior will be made public, with which the last flecos are being closed to host the Open of Spain Abanca.
