Marco Gradoni and Maria Perelló are imposed on the Euromarina Optimist Trophy in Torrevieja

The torrevieja quote closes to the present edition with a total of 10 tests for the gold group while the rest of the groups have completed 9 over the 10 programmed
The Italian Marco Gradoni (Tognazzi MV Italian National Team) and the Balar María Perelló (CN S'Arenal) are made with the 12th Euromarina Optimist Trophy of Torrevieja, thus revalidating the title obtained in 2018. After four days, with good general wind conditions, the torreviejense meeting is closed with a total of 10 tests for the gold group and 9 for the rest of the groups over 10 programmed and with an undisputed domain of Italian Gradoni, bicampoon of the world and now bicampion of the Eurobarina Optimist Torrevieja Trophy.
Gradoni has had no rival in Torrevieja, achieving 7 partial wins over 10 tests. In the other three he has signed 3-7-4, which leaves him as the first general with 14 points to 50 of the second, the Latvian Martin Ailla that has concluded with 64. The third square has been Marc Mesquida (CN S'Arenal) who has lost a position with respect to the penultimate day, this has been as a result of the numbers he has obtained today, and has been charged the DNC of the last test. In the first two, the shooting was able to conclude 19 and 51. Mesquida is left with 117 points.
The Spanish and bicampeone of the world and now bicampeona in Torrevieja next to Gradoni, has had to work very hard to get the title and has gone from less to more, to get the title revalidated in the Torrevieja race. The success of the shooting, in addition to its level and quality, has also been conditioned by the partials of its direct rivals on this last day, especially of the Catalan Nora García (CN Masnou) who, while yesterday he fired leader in women today, is going home in the 6th place in women.
Perelló did not have it easy today and after a grey start, with a 39 the options of the title went away and more if it could be after closing the second test of the day in which it was not very fine ending at the 40. The shooting was going to fix everything, also with the fate of the partials achieved by the rest of the fleet, where it ended with a brilliant and worked third place.
In this category of females the podium has been completed with the Polish Paulina Rutkowska (YKP Gdynia) which ends with 142 points highlighting in its locker a partial triumph as best result in the 10 tests. The Canaria Alejandra Pérez (RCN Gran Canaria) at the end and after a good work on this last day you can hang the bronze in this category. Pérez started the day with a discrete 35th place, in the second of the day he improved with 16 but in the last with a 45, numbers that leave it with 163 points in his locker.
For the category SUB13 the winner was the German Leon Jost (Württembergischer YC), who took a Citizen watch, completing the podium with Olaf Ganzalves (OCN Team) and Roberto Aguilar (CM Benalmádena). As for the females, the title is awarded by Sara Díaz (RCN Gran Canaria), also with a Citizen watch in addition to the salt ship, followed by the Swiss Léonie Baudet and the Spanish Adriana Serra (RCMT Punta Umbria). The Torreviejense trophy also awards the winner of the Silver Group, Claudia Quaranta (CV Bari Italian National Team), while in the Bronze group the prize is for the Spanish Eduardo Bañez (RCMT Punta Umbria) and in the Esmeralda for the Belgian Maxim Boone (RBSC).
26 / 01 / 2019: The Italian Marco Gradoni stands out at the Euromarina of Optimist in Torrevieja

The Euromarina Optimist Torrevieja Trophy reaches the final line, after the third day is closed today. The Italian Marco Grandoni (Tognazzi MV Italian National Team) has taken a giant step to revalidate the title in Torrevieja since today, with partials of 7-1-1 adding a total of 8 points and with 24 difference over the second, the balar Marc Mesquida (CN S'Arenal), and in the absence of a day and three possible tests the title already has it in hand.
Mesquida, for its part, also has almost insured that second square, although it does not have an important advantage over the third one being only 12 points over the Italian Davide Nuccorini (CV Roma Italian National Team). The shooting has gone from less to more as it started this third day with a 15th to go to a 7th and finish the 4th in the last test. The Italian has followed the same path, with a loose start with a 10th, followed by a 6th and ending with a bright 2nd place in the last test of the day.
At the back positions the classification is very compressed and squares 4 and 5 will be defined tomorrow. The Lithuanian Martin Atilla counts 47, for 50 who treasure Nora García (CN Masnou) and the Italian Alessandro Cortese (CV Crotone Italian National Team). As far as the rest of the classification is concerned, until the top ten is closed, the differences are minimal, with only 2-3 points between them.
In the absolute general of females, the Canaria Alejandra Pérez (RCN Gran Canaria) has given the first place to the Catalan Nora García (CN Masnou) who has not been very fine, but enough to keep the first place. Garcia today signed partial 8-17-16, while the canaria started the road with a bright second place, but then it went to 21 and worse in the third with a 57.
The world's bicampeone, the Maria Perelló (CN S'Arenal) ballast has risen on the table and is very close to Nora Garcia as it has 54 points for the 50 of the Catalan. Perelló has been shown to be regular (4-9-8) which has allowed him to climb on the table. The third female is the Israeli Maayan Shemesh (ISR NT) which has 55 points and all the options to move to the two Spanish.
Tomorrow Sunday, the Eurobarina Optimist Torrevieja Trophy is closed and, unless last minute changes, 3 tests are planned for the gold group and 4 for the rest.
25 / 01 / 2019: Marco Gradoni and Alejandra Pérez lead the Euromarina Optimist of Torrevieja

The qualifying round is closed with a total of 4 tests. Tomorrow Saturday the final phase begins, already with the groups gold, silver, bronze and emerald (Photo Pep Portas)
The second day of the Euromarina Optimist Torrevieja Trophy has been closed much better than was expected, with a wind intensity of 10 to 18 knots of intensity on a 300º axis (NW-Northwest) that has allowed to complete 3 tests, in addition to the 2 races that were left pending yesterday for the red and white groups, so the classification phase concludes with 4 tests, valid to give way to the final round with the defined gold, silver, bronze and emerald groups.
The world's bicampoon, the Italian Marco Gradoni (Tognazzi MV Italian National Team) has once again demonstrated its high level in a race field. He has imposed his law on the three trials of the day, adding two partial wins and a third place. This must be added to yesterday's first post, so it closes the day 3 points after a discards.
The Irish Rocco Wright (HYC) has been charged the black flag in his second test of the day in the red group. His line in Torrevieja started well, with brilliant and worked first on, then that BFD to end with 2-1 partials. For Wright it is already subject to that second test.
The third place in this provisional general is for the canary Jaime Ayarza (RCN Gran Canaria), which adds 7 points, after a two-day fairly regular competition, although the partial marked in today's second test for the blues has deprived him of being ahead of Wright.
As for the absolute general, the Canaria Alejandra Pérez (RCN Gran Canaria) has been the leader of the group. The canary signed yesterday a bright 7th place in the yellow group, in a complicated race field. Today, on the contrary, it has been very correct and well in the first two tests of the same group, with two third, but the third with a 17 left it with a bitterness taste. Pérez is seventh in the absolute general by adding 13 points.
Next to it and in the second female square is another Spanish and that enters all the quinielas to be above. Nora García (CN El Masnou) has 14 points, the same as the Polish Paulina Rutkowsaka (YKP Gdynia) and the Spanish Carlos Espí (RCN Valencia).
24 / 01 / 2019: Start of the Eurobarina Trophy Optimist Torrevieja with the meteo as great protagonist

The wind, generous at the beginning of the day, has then been very unstable and roll, which has caused only the Yellow and Blue group to close the day with a test, while the Red and White group remain blank
The Euromarina Optimist Torrevieja Trophy has closed its first day and has done so with meteorology as the main protagonist. While at the beginning the 12-18 knots of intensity of the 345th (North), with the forecast to go down throughout the day, he aimed to close the tests planned for the day, but... After the yellow and blue group's test was closed, reaching beacon 1, the wind went from 345th to 30º to end at 80º. Flag N for them and deferral for the red and white fleets. The 1.5-metre wave has also wanted to join that party, further complicating things for the committee and the regatists.
After a new attempt in which the blue fleet was able to close a test, the wind showed no resistance, so the red and white groups could no longer complete at least one test. The committee tried on several occasions, but it was impossible to set up the race field, making the decision to send the fleet to land and end the day.
That decision and with only two groups that have completed the test, a classification has not been established but an order of arrivals at the expense of being able to close the picture tomorrow with the red and white groups and already have a classification. They're both going to be the first to go on stage tomorrow, with the starting top scheduled for 10: 00.
The first three to take the line of arrival in the yellow group have been Luis de Ángel Martín (ESP-RCN Tenerife), followed by Artem Gunker (RUS- Krestovskiy Ostrov SC) and Alessio Castellan (ITA-CV Muggia). As for the blue group Paulina Rutkowska (POL- YKP Gdynia) has been first followed by the Spanish Jaime Ayarza and Javier Ojeda both of the RCN Gran Canaria.
By tomorrow the committee will first launch on that second day the red and white groups to close test 1... it has also been decided that the same groups will be maintained regardless of the number of completed tests. The forecasts point to better wind stability and the intensity of which is expected to be around 10 knots of intensity.
