An image of the legendary Galician project of the World Tour 93-94 will appear in the licenses

The Royal Galician Federation of Vela has convened its extraordinary general assembly for this Saturday 29, at 10.30 in first call, at its headquarters in Bouzas. In it will present its budgets for 2019, the schedule of races and a change in the image of the federal licences, among other items on the agenda signed by the president of the Commission Gestora... minutes before the inauguration of the president, Manuel Villaverde, will take place, which will thus begin his third term, the second full, at the head of the autonomous federal state.

In 2019, we wish to pay tribute to the "Galicia 93 Pescanova," the ship that was podium in the Whitbread Round the World 93-94; that Galician ocean sailing project is celebrating its twenty-fifth anniversary and the Galician, which promoted it a quarter of a century ago, does not want to forget that ship built in Spanish armed and crew (mainly Galician) who patrolled the Javier de la Gandara...

A project also promoted by Francisco Quiroga, Juan Carlos Rodríguez Touges, Bonifacio Logares and Charo Andrade, among others... but especially by Manuel Fernández de Sousa-Faro, then president of the fishing company. On the political level, the project was supported by Manuel Fraga, Víctor Manuel Vázquez Portomeñe and the industry concelleiro, a personal friend of Quiroga, the Ferrolano Juan Fernández.
