Manuel Villaverde will lead the Galician candle four more years

The ordinary general assembly of the Royal Galician Federation of Vela has unanimously accepted the unique candidacy of Manuel Villaverde, to continue to head it until 2022.

In the official call at the federal headquarters of Bouzas and directed by Viviana García as president of the management commission, the Galician candle decided its future for the next four years by placing its full confidence on Villaverde. The Vigués came to office in December 2012, when in that year José Ángel Rodríguez was elected president of the Real Federación Española de Vela; this will be the second full term of office of Villaverde Fernández. Rodríguez continues in the assembly representing judges and meters.

The assembly, decided in twenty minutes, found that Pedro de Luaces, Fernando Giraldo, Sergio del Río and the entities Monte Real Club de Yates, Real Club Náutico Portosín and Real Club Náutico de Sanxenxo will be six of the nine members of the Commission Delegate. The inauguration of Villaverde will take place on the last Saturday of the year (day 29), when the commission will also be completed with three members decided by the president. This will end a long electoral process that began in February.
