Torrado takes the position of José Martínez David, who leaves the presidency after a brilliant career with great sports successes and a balance of growth in licenses and training

Carlos Torrado, but a torreviejense of residence and adoption, manager at the Real Club Náutico de Torrevieja, has been elected by the Assembly of the FVCV as new president of the Federation of Vela de la Comunitat Valenciana in the elections held today, Saturday, December 15. Torrado is responsible for José Martínez David, who has served for more than three legislatures.

Carlos Torrado was president of the competition committee at the previous FVCV board of directors and has a long history in the federal body, generally linked to high performance, as well as to the promotion and organization of youth and children's sailing.

Especially sensitized to the base sport, light sailing and the access of the new generations to our sport through the modalities for the younger, the new president of the FVCV has been responsible for the Sail of Competition of the FVCV, National Secretary of the Optimist class and president of AECIO, the Spanish Association of Class

International Optimist. He is currently the coordinator of the National Plan for the Technification of Youth Vela of the Royal Spanish Federation of Vela.

Carlos Torrado also has a deep experience in the management of the nautic. Master in Business High Management and specialized in the management of sports ports, Torrado was for 4 years Deputy Director of the International Marina Sports Port and from 27 years to now he has been the Managing Director of the Royal Nautical Club of Torrevieja.

He has been president of the National Committee of Tourist Quality for Náutico-sports facilities, founder and manager of the Association of Nautical Clubs of the Valencia Community and is currently also the manager of the Spanish Confederation of Nautical Clubs Associations.

Carlos Torrado sails on sailing boats from the age of 8, has competed from the Optimist to the Cruise in many different classes and his wife has been his crew on his Snipe from the age of 17 to the age of 30. It was two years of sailing monitor from his club.
