The loose, unstable and roll wind has marked this third series for the month of December of the Barcelona Winter Series that organizes the Real Club Nautico of Barcelona. A total of 20 ships of the J70 and J80 monotypic classes have taken part in the three tests that have been completed on Saturday and Sunday.
On Saturday, two tests were carried out under difficult conditions due to the low and variable wind, despite the efforts of regatists and Committee. On Sunday only one test also with little north-west wind, which began with 8 knots of intensity to go down to 5. A second test would be cancelled when the wind definitely disappeared from the race field.
As more than six tests have been completed, each ship has been able to rule out its worst partial.
The race was won on Sunday by Forty Five of the Olympic and melodic singer Luís Martínez Dureste with Russian Carpe Diem of Valentin Uvarkin of second, which also premiered this weekend. The series was awarded by Gerard Martin's Nautic Scale 3 with a quarter and a first on Saturday and the sixth on Sunday. The Russian-owned Cypriot Amaiz Sailing Team of Sergei Dobrovolskii, despite his bad results on Saturday and Sunday, a tenth and a seventh, is leader in the general with a single point of advantage over Mark Lees's English Serious Fun, which has been disqualified in Sunday's test for sailing with a less crew, which is penalized in the rules of the J70 class.

15 / 12 / 2018: Little wind and two sleeves valid in the Barcelona Winter Series of J70 and J80
The year 2018 concludes with the third delivery of the Barcelona Winter Series for the month of December. On Saturday day two tests per Class were completed, with unstable winds in intensity and direction. The Committee tried a third test but had to override it when the wind disappeared from the race field.
The Cypriot ship Amaiz Sailing Team with Russian crew and patronized by Sergei Dobrovolskii the victory was noted in the morning test but in the afternoon all the elements conspired against them: after a bad departure they were played on the opposite board of the fleet and went very wrong, so that they ended ten. However and thanks to the first discard that is applied in the classification by adding more than six tests, they remain leaders but closely persecuted by the British of Mark Lees and his Serious Fun which today have signed two seconds. The afternoon test won it. Nautic Scale 3 from Gerard Marín who is eighth in the General.
