The 52nd Nautical Week of Alicante, organized by the Real Club de Regatas de Alicante, continues to advance its calendar. This past weekend the White Coast Capital Club was facing its third challenge. A double-game challenge, since it was two disciplines that entered the scene: Vela, with the fleet of Cruises as the protagonist...

The Grand Soleil 50 Spaniard, armed by Juan Rodríguez, was the fastest to complete the 23 miles tour. After the top exit in the vicinity of the club about 11.30 hours, the Spaniard boys crossed the line of arrival at 14: 10 ', using about 2 hours and 40 minutes to complete the tour. Sopu Two, from the Torrevieja RCN and led by Jorma Nuutinen was the second in real time, with 18 minutes difference over the first, while the local Tanit IV Medilevel, from Mª José Vila was the third to take the arrival, with only 18 seconds difference over the Nuutinen ship.

The rest of the fleet, both in the ORC class and in categories A2 and Solitary, was gradually and gradually reached. After obtaining the compensated times in the joint ORC class (ORC A-ORC B) the first three temporary podium squares, in the absence of the Sunday day, was composed of Tanit IV Medilevel, followed by Spaniard and Swany, by Gonzalo Infante, all of them from the Alicante RCR. In the rest of the classes Akra Leuka supplies were placed in ORC Rally; Pelliter did so in class A2 while Despelote took over the Lone ORC fleet.

The second day was developed with more stable wind conditions, also from Poniente with an average that was around 8 knots of intensity. The race committee set up an 8-mile coastal tour for the 'big' and 6 for the 'small'.

The local Tanit IV Medilevel (RCR Alicante) was the fastest on this occasion, being the first in time and the first in time compensated. These two partial triumphs, Saturday and Sunday, left the ship of Mª José Vila as winner in ORC A, podium that was to be completed with Spaniard, signing in this second trial a third place, and Allegro Vivace (CN Santa Pola) who with partial in the two tests of 4-6 was left with that third square.

As for the ORC B category, the three podium positions were for Chisperen (5-2), adding 7 points, followed by Fur'Lop (7-4) with 11 points and with 1 difference was Swany with 3-9 partials. In the class ORC Rally, the podium was composed by Tatan (2-1), Grisol (3-4) and Akra Leuka (1-DNC), all of them from the Alicante RCR.

After obtaining the compensated times on that Sunday day, together with those on Saturday, there was maximum equality in the Lone ORC fleet, as the three podium squares were closed with a triple tie to 4 points. The partial triumph of Soler (Marina Alicante) on Sunday day declined the balance in his favor to take away the trophy of the Nautical Week of Alicante. The Santapolero Despelote (1-3) was the second and Tollopi, of the Regatas Club, was third with two seconds on.

The ABC A2 class was also not far from that equality of the ABC A1, the minimum difference of 1 points between the first and the two in the back, which ended up tied to 5 points. North Face was made with the final win, after signing two seconds on the two days of competition. Attica, thanks to the triumph on Sunday, hung the silver, while Pallieter V (1-3) had to settle for the third place.

As far as participation is concerned, it is expected to exceed the figure of 30 ships that are already registered in the Alicantina citation, with representation of the Region of Murcia and Comunitat Valenciana. In local key the best will be present, case of the current King's Cup champion, Tanit IV-Medilevel, or Juan Rodríguez's Gran Soleil 50 leading the Spaniard, although you should not forget the Grand Soleil 40 Tollopi, Tomás Llorens or the Dufour 34 and 35 respectively with Notenom and Chisperen to quote one of them.

As for the sport fishing competition, it will start at dawn, when the fishermen will go out to sea to flank their boats and lift the largest number of catches... the weighing and subsequent delivery of trophies, which are sponsored by 'Ociopesca International', is scheduled at 1 p.m.
