With the wind giving the note the first act of the Nautical Week of Alicante is closed

The 52nd Nautical Week of Alicante closes its first chapter with the fleet of Vela Ligera as the protagonist, although that protagonist has shared it with the wind. Weather conditions that were not planned for the parties scheduled for this weekend. Today, on this second and last day, it has been worse than Saturday because today and after a long waiting on the ground the fleet was trying to close a test at 1.15 p.m. and it has been 'saved'. With all this, the first of the dates of the week Alicantine, is closed with three completed tests of the six planned in the two days of competition... today the wind of the levent has not come to exceed the 6 knots of intensity in which a test has been completed.
The complicated wind conditions have made the fleet of 420 very difficult. Without options to apply the discarte and with a shortened route and arrival in sotavento, beacon 3, the Alteanos Alejandro Arroyo and Juan Antonio García (CN Altea) were able to conclude in the second square, behind the premises Berta Campos and Cristina de Béjar (RCR Alicante), while the third place in this test was for the Valencians Pilar López de Lucia and Gabriela Corbalán (RCN Valencia).
A result that, together with those of yesterday, with a double tie between those of Altea and Valencia at 4 points, led to a major change in the general of the class, now being the representatives of the nautical of Altea who went up a step in the general, until taking the first place. In this same line the local Campos and De Béjar have been found staying, in the end, with the second place, while López de Lucia and Corbalán are relegated to the third place.
In the Laser 4.7 there have also been important changes in the final general and also with a shortened route, but they in the beacon 2. In this case, it has been the Calpina Ana Clavero (RCN Calpe) who finally takes the trophy of the Nautical Week of Alicante to the detriment of Mariano Cebrián (CN Benidorm). The calpine has signed a partial triumph while the benidorm was fourth. The numbers leave a podium in the absolute general with Ana Clavero (RCN Calpe) as the first classified with 8 points, the same as Cebrián in the second place. The Bat Manu García (CN Mar Menor) has been third, staying 6 points from both.
Bat Paco Sánchez (CN Campello) has been able to 'manage' its advantage and those 'bad wind conditions'. A new partial win in Alicante, third, allows you to win the trophy at the Nautical Week with 3 points. With that first clear square the 'war' passed to those who were to occupy the second and third podium. There, the torreviejense José Luis López (RCN Torrevieja) has been better and that third place in that only test of the day gives him that second position, while the bat Marina Sánchez (RCR Santiago de la Ribera) has been third, although its partial today has again been an 8th, the same in the second test yesterday Saturday, after signing a third.
The current world subchampion of Laser Standard Master, Carlos Martínez (RCR Santiago de la Ribera), has had no trouble keeping the first place. Today it has signed its second partial win, together with the one achieved in yesterday's day and a second place, they leave it first with 4 points. The second square is for the local José Vicente Gutiérrez (RCR Alicante) that remains only 1 point from Martínez, while Fulgencio Ortega (CN Portmán) has been third with 11 points.
For the tables it has also been a very complicated day. In the Bic Techno SUB15 the final podium has been configured by Carlos Marí (CW Spanish French) with 3 points, followed by Jacobo Ramón (CN Jávea), who has left 3 of the winner, and Sofia Vedrune (CW Spanish French) who has finished with 9 points, to 6 of Marí. The santapolero Javier Clement (CN Santa Pola) has imposed his law on the SUB17. With three partial victories he takes the first square. The second has been for Alex Ortega (CN Jávea) who has added 7 points, to 4 points from the winner, while Carlos Sánchez, also Santa Pola, has been third by adding 13 points, the same as the white female Olaizola (CW Spanish French). The great favorite of the title in Techno Plus, Sofia Boscarol (CN Alicante Costa Blanca), has not failed. The pliers have today achieved their third partial triumph leaving it in that first square with 3 points. The podium has been completed with two other players from the Alicantino club: Paula García, second, and Juan Ferreres, third.
Rafael Ros (EV Seasurf Patrol) has been clearly imposed on Raceboard. Three partial wins and three points for Ros. The second square has been for Salvador Mariano Pastor (CW Santa Pola) followed by Marc Rene Arnold Leutscher (RCR Alicante).
In the RS fleet: X the Alicantino Guillermo Espí (CN Alicante Costa Blanca) imposes its law in RS: X with three wins. Jorge Aranzueque (CN Santa Pola) has been second with a partial triumph in his locker and with 8 points, the same ones that Andryu Silva (CN Jávea) has got that bronze hangs.
As for the Windsurf Open class, the trio of podium has been made up of three local regatists, from the RCR Alicante. Luis Gaubert has been first with 3 and then double to 9 points with Alvaro Inchausti second and Judith Pomares occupying the third square.
01 / 12 / 2018: No surprises on the first day of the Nautical Week of Alicante of Light Sailing

First day for the fleet of Vela Ligera, marked by the wind that has conditioned the program, although in the end they have all been able to close the day with two tests, with the exception of the Windsurf format that has been left unable to navigate
The first chapter of Alicante's Nautical Week for Light Sailing is closed and is done with two completed tests on the three planned, although the Windsurf Formula have been left unable to navigate. The wind has very much conditioned this first day with an exit for the 420, Laser Standard and Laser Radial that after reaching the beacon one was overturned all by the total fall of the wind. The windsurfing fleet, for its part, was waiting on the ground for better wind conditions that have reached over 2 p.m., so the exit of the 420 was produced about 3 p.m. with 8-10 knots of the 260.
A great deal of equality in the fleet of 420 between the Valencians Pilar López de Lucia and Gabriela Corbalán (RCN Valencia) and the Alteans Alejandro Arroyo and Juan Antonio García (CN Altea) since they have finished the day in the first square and tied to 4 points. Both crews have exchanged roles in both tests, although it was Altea's that were going to score the first test of the day and in the second, it was Valencia's women who achieved partial triumph. In the other two they both signed a third place. On this provisional podium, the local crew have been placed with Berta Campos and Cristina de Béjar (RCR Alicante) which have achieved partial of 2-4 thus adding 6 points.
As for the Laser Stanadard the favorites have not failed in this start of the Nautical Week and, as in the 420 maximum equality in the first podium square, shared between the bat Carlos Martínez (RCR Santiago de la Ribera) and the local José Vicente Gutiérrez (RCR Alicante). Gutiérrez has scored the first test and Martínez the second. The other two have both finished seconds. The Fulgencio Ortega Bat (CN Portmán) is third in the provisional general with 8 points (UFD - 3).
Bat regatists Paco Sánchez, who competes for the CN Campello, has imposed his law on Laser Radio. With two uncontestable triumphs he is placed provisional leader with 2 points. The second square is for Lorena Rael (RCR Alicante) with 9 points, after obtaining partial of 4-5, while the third one is left, for the moment Miguel Pareja (CN Santa Pola) with 11 points after finishing in the first test 9th and the second.
The Laser 4.7 fleet has also been very equal and competitive in the two tests of the day. Mariano Cebrián (CN Benidorm) has been somewhat more successful, a circumstance that allows him to lead the group with 4 points, thanks to the results of 1-3. The difference with respect to the second is only 2 points, square occupied by Lara Sabine Himmes (RCN Calpe) while Ana Clavero, also from the Calpine club is third with 1 points more than her club partner.
In Techno Plus the three podium squares are occupied by Sofia Boscarol (CN Alicante Costa), which is 2 points, followed by Paula Garcia with 4 and Juan Ferreres with 6 points, both from the same club as Boscarlo. In Techno SUB17, Javier Clement (CN Santa Pola) is first after adding two partial wins, while Alex Ortega (CN Jávea) closes the day in the second square with 5 points and Blanca Olaizola (CW Spanish French) is third with 7 points after signing partial of 4-3. In Techno SUB15 it has been the French Hispanic CW that dominates the provisional podium with the first and third square. Carlos Marí is first with 2 points and his club partner: Sofia Vedrune is third with 6 points. Jacobo Ruíz (CN Jávea) is second with 4 points.
In the RS: X, Raceboard and Windsurf Open classes, the favorites have met the forecasts and all three have done it with both triumphs in their respective classes. Guillermo Espí (CN Alicante Costa Blanca in the first of them, while Rafael Ros (EV Seasurf Patrol) and Lage Gaubert (RCR Alicante) do the same in Raceboard and Windsurf Open.
