In the Abanca Week there is rowing (since 2012), pyroguism (since 2016) and sailing (since 2000)... and very close already the surf that must be also, sooner than some imagine... the Real Club of Regatas of Alicante, one of the most hitsoric, traditional and important clubs in Spain has a splendid rowing section... last October without going beyond the Spanish Yolas Championship in Marín, within the Abanca Week... And he's got some exceptional athletes.
In Alicante, the "sailing & rolling" pairing is normal, and they also have high fishing... here they win the Gallegos... because the Valencian-Alicantino seaside is magnificent... and one who has organized them for Rodman first and for Metromar then championships in Campello, Denia, Gandia, Jávea or Moraira, for giving some examples. Welcome to Alicante Week and all our support from the DIGITAL NAUTICA pages!
The 52nd Nautical Week of Alicante faces the last days of preparation for one of its great challenges of the season. The Alicantina meeting, organized by the Real Club de Regatas de Alicante, will take place from 1 to 22 December, with two headquarters: the Club (Sailing of Cruise, Remo and Fishing) and the nautical base, Tyre de Picón (Selling of Children and Light Sailing), concentrating about 1,000 athletes in that time space that will compete on the three pillars of the great meeting of the Club: Sailing of the Children, Selling of Light and Cruise), Fisheries and Remo.
In order to continue to grow and bring more quality to the regatists, especially in Sailing Children and Sailing Light, the Club will play three regatta fields. The first to enter the scene will be the fleet of Light Sailing with up to 8 classes: Laser Standard, Laser Radial, Laser 4.7, Formula Windsurf, RS: X, Bic Techno, Windsurf Infant and 420. Two days of competition for all of them, 1 and 2 December, with the encouragement to be a punctual test for the Autonomical Cup.
With just a week of margin, the Optimist will take over at the club's nautical base in the Pichón Tyre, also the incentive to be a valid regatta for the Autonomical Cup for the Optimist B, while the Optimist A gets the degree of Open so the participation is open, bringing together an important fleet outside the Valencia Community, as well as some representatives from the international arena.
The Sailing of Cruise and Fishing (Child Fisheries) will take on the third delivery of the Nautical Week between the 15th and 16th days. In this edition, the cruise fleet will have an important novelty as the usual return to the island of Tenca now adds a second day with a journey still to be defined, but all points to a coastal tour of the bay alicantina.
The gold brooch to the Nautical Week will be put on the Remo, December 22, in which one of the highest participations is foreseen at both the regional and national level... the quote for the remers is framed in the El Jamón Trophy, which will also be a stimulus for the fishermen as on that same day they will fight their trophy within the Nautical Week itself.
