The Gran Canaria Oleaje Bodyboard Contest 2018 was organized by the Surf Oleaje Club and promoted by the Gran Canaria Cabildo through the Island Sports Institute and the collaboration of the Arucas City Council and its Sports Council

Fanta ́ stic conditions of wind and waves and a luxury environment were the to the Gran Canaria Oleaje Bodyboard Contest, third test of the European Tour of Bodyboarding 2018, which has been held on the beach of San Andre's, on the coast of Arucas in the modalities of Open and Junior.

Two competition days in which the more than 50 participants in the test showed the quality of the European boyboard. The first day, in which the final tables were decided, concluded in the Open category with the Riders Carlos Sua ́ rez, Rodrigo Lopes, Armide Solimos, Nicolas Capony, Eduardo Rodri ́ guez guez ez, Luis Pe ́ rez, Kevin Orihuela and Miguel Ferreira classified for the four semi-finals hand by hand.

In Junior, the athletes who overcome this hard crib were Miguel Ferreira, Txomin Lopez, Luis Tausia, Carlos Sua ́ rez, Nicolas Capony, Javier Domi'nguez, David Pe ́ rez and Armide Solididas.

With the top eight of each category fighting for the two titles in play, the final day was reached. The ability of the Riders in harsh conditions was decisive in getting access to the final. Finally, this first edition of the Gran Canaria Oleaje Bodyboard Contest crowned the canary Carlos Suárez in Open and the Portuguese Miguel Ferreira in Junior in a podium that remained as follows:
