Representatives and manufacturers of one of the most important sailways in the world meet, on the Costa del Sol to analyze the sector and present the latest developments

More than 50 sailboats are gathered in Malaga to present the latest in materials and technologies applied to the design and production of race candles, cruise and other sports and recreational craft internationally. The capital of the Costa del Sol has been chosen by UK Sailmakers International as a meeting point of representatives and manufacturers of the brand all over the world, due to the long trajectory of its headquarters (Manuel Franco Cubeiro No. 5 - Torremolinos), led by the master sailing and sportsman Andy Longarela.

Representatives from countries such as the Netherlands, Italy, the United States, New Zealand or Croatia are part of this meeting convened by UK Sailmakers International, founded in 1946 in New York and one of the world's leading sailing networks.

First-level cruise candles, race candles such as the X-Drive Carbón, an evolved technology that combines a system able to control the workload in an intelligent way, and the performance of the Titanium, are some of the exclusive products that the Spanish team of UK Sailmakers makes and that it distributes at all points of the Spanish geography; in addition to participating in special competition projects.

"This is a completely artisan work, made entirely here, in which it combines the use of the best materials and the application of many years of experience to create candles of quality and long duration," explains Longarela, who has been designing and producing candles for all types of ships and more than two decades in front of the factory located in Malaga for 35 years.
