The technical director of the RFEP, Ekaitz Saies, and the canoe manager of the national pyragüismo team, Marcel Glavan, run from today to Friday the sessions in which the athletes will undergo measurements of height, scale and weight, as well as stress tests with 25 kilos of pectoral and dorsal; swimming over 50 meters; walking race in distances of 400 meters and 2 kilometres; balance test and medical ball launch.
The participants from other sports are Marina Bidegain, a basketball practitioner; Clara Calvo, swimming; and Lucía Ramacciotti, riding.

By Autonomous Communities, Andalusia brings the highest number with 5 athletes - Marina Bidegain, Esther Recuero, Lucía Ramacciotti, Ana Barea and Clara Calvo-, followed by Galicia with four - Carla Sieiro, Cristina Vázquez, Raquel Da Costa and Andrea Piñeir- and with one, Madrid - Carmen Vician-, Murcia - Gema Victoria Martonnez-, Aragon - Estela Ruiz-, Valencia - Sofia Alvarez, and Baleares - and Cristina Granerio.
The technical director of the Spanish Piragüismo Federation, Ekaitz Saies, has been "very satisfied" with the response to the call to detect "new talents with the potential to aspire" to be in the next JJOO, whose program incorporates the female canoe.

"There are athletes who come from the world of piragüism, as some are canoists and others come from the kayak mode, and there are also participants who come from other sports and aspire to fight for a square," said the responsible for which "it is still early" to take stock, although what we see this morning "makes us optimistic about this project."
