A mixed Keelboat Offshore for two people will debut as an Olympic class in Paris 2024 next to the mixed Kiteboard
After a week of meetings, the Annual General Assembly concluded the 2018 Annual Conference, as they ratified the decisions taken during the week. At the mid-year meeting in London, Britain, the World Sailing's Council approved the following list of events:
- Male Windsurfing
- Women's Windsurfer

- Male Skiff - 49er
- Two-crew mixed multicasco - Nacra 17
- New: mixed ship of a crew member
- New: two-crew mixed ship
- New: Mixed Kiteboard
Although the decision was made, the World Sailing Regulations allowed both the Events and the Team to be amended if 75 per cent of Council members voted for change. A long debate was held on the replacement of the mixed event of a crew member in front of the proposal of the two crew member's mixed, off-shore gilded ship event. 31 members of the Council were in favour of voting on the change with eight against and two abstentions. As the minimum of 75 per cent was exceeded, the Council voted with 29 members in favour of the Joint Keelboat Offshore of two minor crew members who had nine votes against and two abstentions.
However, the final decision had to be taken at the general assembly in which the National Authorities members of World Sailing have the power to override the regulations adopted by the Council. After ratifying numerous regulatory amendments in the last 12 months, a debate was held on the reinstallation of a person's mixed boat event instead of the mixed Keelboat Offshore event for two people.
The members of the General Board voted with 43 votes in favour of maintaining the two-crew, 17 against, and four abstained. After this vote, theList of events for Paris 2024:

RS: X will be the team for Windsurfing events for men and women. The mixed Kiteboarding event will be held on a board with a RAM-Air (foyl-kite) and the mixed ship event for two crew will be a ship without foyer, major and spinnaker.
A displacement monocash (without fils) with an abbreviated cover design for the mixed Keelboat Offshore for two people will be used. The ship will have between 6 and 10 meters of manga, will be able to make between 4 and 40 knots with an inventory of candles suitable for all conditions and will mount a set with spinnaker.
With regard to the two-person mixed boat event, equipment selection should be based on evaluation according to the specified criteria, without the need for equipment testing. If the Team Committee concludes the evaluation well before the 2019 Middle Year Meeting, the Council will be requested to take a decision by electronic vote.
The next World Sailing meeting will be held in London in May 2019... following numerous reports and presentations, the members of the General Board of Representatives elected Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, to organize the Annual Conference in 2020.
