The technical director of the Spanish Federation of Piragüismo, Ekaitz Saies, has described as "very productive" the visit made by a delegation of this entity to Japan, where they have seen in Kyotango, for the esprint training, and Oshu to host those of slalon, the two places that, a priori, have found it more appropriate for the palists of the national team to make the adaptation for the Tokyo 2020 JOO

Saies, accompanied by esprint coaches Miguel García and Marcel Glaván and slalon manager, Guille Diez@-@ Canedo, has pointed out that now they must "analyze everything and share this information with the technicians who are in Spain" before making the decision in which Spanish pyragüists will be trained in different periods in 2019 and in the months before the Olympic Citation dispute in August 2020.

In the last day in Japan they have visited the channel that will host the competition of slalon, said the technical director, who has detailed that this installation is at 60% of its construction, with the basis of the structure already completed, which allows to establish similarities with the scenario of Rio 2016 in which Maialen Chourraut was proclaimed Olympic champion.

On the quiet water channel has revealed that the competition track "it already has a barrier of containment on a side to get the waves that form the water to die," and with regard to the concerns that the technicians have about the possible incidence of the waves, it has pointed out that this is solved with the placement of a dam of containment both on the exit and on the arrival of the route... the dam of containment, that it goes to the bottom and that we have just told us that it is already closed, it has prevented that the water flows from the sea from entering the track, "has abounded Saies, which has added that in the 2,400 meters of journey there will be pumps that will be continually renewed and that it will be very salted."
