24 / 11 / 2018: "Amaiz Sailing" and "Bribón Movistar" command in the Winter Series J70-J80 in Barcelona

"Cyprus" Amaiz Sailing Team, J70 leaders

The third day has been presented with little and unstable wind for the Barcelona Winter Series. Continued rolling and recalmons have tested the expertise of the Regata Committee led by Pera Sarquella, who has had to make several changes of course caused by the roles of the wind and who, in the end, has managed to perform two tests.

Ten ships from half a dozen countries have competed today Saturday that have seen as the Cypriot Amaiz Sailing Team of Sergei Dobrovolskii has mastered the two disputed tests, being the leader in the provisional classification.

Second is the British Serius Fun of Mark Lees, with a second and a third followed, of Tenaz of Pablo Garriga whose partials have been 6 and 2 and which is tied to 12 points in the provisional General. Fourth classified the Forty Five of Luís Martínez Doreste to a point of the above.

Bribón - Movistar stumbled on several roles in the race field in the first test of the day and finished sixth. The first test of this day was won by Ninoco de Lucas Llobet, followed by Deckmetal de Josep María Pujol, who occupy positions 5 and 6 of the Provisional General.

28 / 10 / 2018: "Forty Five" in J70 and "Bribon" in J80 winners of the Barcelona Winter Series

The Barcelona Winter Series is a race organized by the Real Club Nautico of Barcelona, with the collaboration of Estrella Damm, Veri, Diputació de Barcelona, J70 and Fundació RCNB

A total of 10 ships of the J70 class from Russia, Cyprus, Germany, England and Italy, in addition to the Spanish, have taken part in the only test disputed at this beginning of the Barcelona Winter Series. It has been imposed Forty Five of Luís Martínez Dureste representing the Royal Nautical Club of Gran Canaria, followed by Rebuff of David Marcó and Noticia of Luís Martín Cabiedes, both of the organizing club.

Bribón - Movistar de Marc de Antonio, who already won the first edition of the Barcelona Winter Series of J80, has not given its rivals a choice and would first end in this one-time contest, followed by Mikaku de Rosa Ortiz and Nacex of Agustí Altadill. In this class he has competed seven boats.

The planned programming could not be completed in Barcelona

The adverse weather conditions have prevented the Barcelona Winter Series tests for the J70 and J80 classes, in which they intended to compete for a long 20 ships of half a dozen countries.

On the coast of Barcelona there is an area of low atmospheric pressures, but this has not been translated into wind and if in abundant rain. Despite the adverse conditions, the fleets of J70 and J80 went out into the sea after a deferral on the ground and stoically held in wait for the wind.

Finally, at 14 hours, the Committee began the exit procedure with a lot of rain and 14 knots of wind from the north-east, which would fall and roll, more than 150º, until the Committee decided to suspend the race and sent the fleets to port.

Tomorrow the opening time of the races is ahead at 11: 00 in the morning to try to recover some of the evidence that could not be disputed on this first day.
