The Salon de Valencia with very low figures in 2018... is the sad, very sad, reality...

The last day of the Valencia Boat Show has been held, a Valencian nautical hall that since October 31 shows a selection of new boats and new of the year, engines, acasillage, accessories and nautical services. The living room has added more than 9,000 visitors in total in the five days of exhibition, who have been able to walk comfortably between the stands thanks to the new layout and expansion in more than 2 meters from the central corridor.

The living room has had a total of 71 exhibitors, who have exhibited about 90 boats in more than 16,000 m2 of exhibition in La Marina de València, including the newly restored Tinglado nº2, which has housed the exhibition to cover.

The new points of restoration of the hand of well-known host companies, as well as the assembly and complementary services, have been some of the points best valued by the exhibitors, in a survey carried out today. 53% of respondents say they would be willing to fully confirm and pay their next edition budget by 31 May 2019 if they were offered a discount and / or increased promotion of the living room. The profile of the visitor, according to the exhibitors, has been local at 60%, national at 30% and international at 10%, especially foreigners resident in the Valencia Community.

In these days a year ago, those responsible for the Valencian nautical sample spoke of 15,000 visitors... today they speak of 9,000 with 70 exhibitors... the accounts with very easy: 40% down, 40 points... simply a barbarity... the Valencia project as a national reference has published its death... Barcelona is very weak, but Valencia is still unable to choose to match, or by far its figures... the City of Condal despite the gravisimal political clysis and the rejection that it means for not a few fans of nautical, has exceeded this year the 230 exhibitors and the 55,000 visitors... very much difference.

31 / 10 / 2018: Bocinazo of departure for the Valencia Boat Show with 70 exhibitors

Más de 70 expositores presentan hasta el domingo 4 de noviembre las novedades del sector náutico

More than 70 exhibitors present the new water sector until Sunday, November 4

This morning, it was the beginning of the tenth edition of the Valencia Boat Show, the nautical hall of València, which is held from today until next Sunday in La Marina de València. The director of the living room, Mercedes Gomis, the deputy of Tourism, Pilar Moncho and the director of the Marina de València, Vicent Llorens; together with the naval commander of València, José Ignacio Villarrubia and the vice president of the Federation of Vela de la Comunitat Valenciana, Rafel Xirivella, have made the leap out of the competition, in the purest nautical style.

During the five days of exhibition, visitors will be able to learn about the developments of the nautical landscape, with sailing and motor vessels, pneumatic and semi-rigid, ranging from 2 to 20 meters in length, with prices ranging from 500 to 1,200,000 euros. The main national and international shipyards attend the meeting one more year, which is the last in the calendar of Mediterranean halls, since the competition changed its dates to November in 2016. This change of dates turned the Valencia Boat Show into a decision-making and shopping room, with a great incentive: the possibility of testing the boats before buying them, thanks to the facilities offered by the Marina de València.

The offer of new boats is completed as every year with marine engines of the main market brands, state-of-the-art electronics, candles, acasillage, accessories, and nautical services. In addition to all the equipment and services to get to sea, visitors will find proposals to learn how to navigate schools like Llevit Blau or Oceanic, or to secure their boat with Yachtman, Solana and Mengod or Mapfre, which is one of the sponsors of the event and presents its renewed insurance for recreational boats.

The living room also features the proposal of mooring of La Marina de València, co-organizer of Valencia Boat Show and Valencia Mar, the new marina that premiere as a sponsor of the living room, and has installed a mini beach next to its stand to delight those who visit the living room. And for the best leisure by the sea, the association of entrepreneurs of La Marina de València presents Viu La Marina, its joint proposal of gastronomy and nautical leisure, and also offers a wide variety of Valencian dishes in a square "Del Tros al Plat," in collaboration with València Turisme.

Tomorrow the Valencia Boat Show will open its doors again at 10 a.m. to celebrate its second day, in which a great influx of visitors is expected for the holiday and the good weather.

The tenth edition of the Valencia Boat Show stands out for the quality of its fleet in exhibition, among which are some of the nominees for the prestigious European boat award of the year in the categories of sailing and motor, as well as interesting developments in light sailing, multicasques and working boats.

Visitors can also find the latest in marine engines, electronics, accessories, equipment, acasillage and services, as well as technical activities for professionals and information for the whole family. In addition, thanks to Renfe's collaboration, those interested in coming to the living room by train will be able to have a 30% discount for long distance trips.

The competition will have three professional days, from 31 October to 2 November, with tickets at the price of 5 euros, and two days at popular prices, where access will cost 3 euros. Tickets may be purchased only at access lockers during the days of the competition.

Also on Saturday, November 3, the living room will match the anniversary of La Marina de València, so the nautical offer of the Valencia Boat Show will be completed with a wide proposal of activities for the whole family organized by the Valencian dársena.

For the 2018 edition, the Valencia Boat Show has a new management team, led by Mercedes Gomis, who was elected in March president of the Union of Nautical Enterprises (UEN) and therefore the first director of the competition. Another new development this year is the incorporation of La Marina de València as co-organizer of the event with the UEN, as well as MAPHRE and Valencia Mar as sponsors with BAUHAUS, which repeats for the third consecutive year. In addition, the Valencian living room is again supported by Turismo Valencia and València Turisme, which this year will offer a space "From Tres to Plat," in which unique Valencian gastronomic experiences will be made available to the public.
