"Oils April" wins the Guardian Regatta and the Vigo Nautical the Galicia Cup of Clubs
The "Oils Abril" of Luis and Jorge Pérez Canal was again imposed in both real time and class 1 and in the general classification after a day with a shorter journey, which was done with the absolute victory of the Guardian Regata that have organized the Military Naval School and the Royal Nautical Club of Vigo... in addition the ship of the Pérez Canal has been made with the Galicia Cup of Cruises ORC for the best club of the heavy sailing season... this year the Royal Nautical Club of Vigo.
The second day confirmed that the Nautico was going to win a partial victory in the closing championship of the 2018 Galicia Cup. The oil ship did not leave first, but it did take the buoy of dismantling first, followed by the "Meigas Fora" (José Codesido, RCN Portosín), "Ozosana" (Juan Carlos Pérez Olmedo, CN Commud), "Aldán" (Manuel Espin, CNR Marín) and "Nautilus" (Cándido Couselo, CNR Ferrol).
Before, after an exit in which the "Sebrala 2" sailed second after the "Nautilus" of the Navy, the Bavaria 50 of the businessman Magín Froiz returned to the naval base. A génova break truncated his chances of victory in class 2, which he commanded after a great first test.
The First 44.7 Vigués commanded - there was a roll wind from the north and from 10 to 14 nude - and the fight focused on knowing which ship could rise with the triumph in class 2, because the "Aguieira I" (Celestino Campelo, RCM Aguete) did not go out, and if the "Chispa Nejra" (José Rey, CN Beluso) defended its provisional leadership in class 3.
27 / 10 / 2018: The first day of the Guardian of Cruises was held in the river of Pontevedra
The Guardian of Cruise Regatta sailed on Saturday from Marin for a 18.8-mile tour from the Naval School to Faro Mourisca, at the entrance of the Pontevedra Ria, with organization of the Royal Nautical Club of Vigo and the Naval Commission of Marin Regates.
"Oils April" (brothers Pérez Canal, RCN Vigo) in class 1, the "Sebrala 2" (Magín Froiz, RCN Sanxenxo) in the 2 and the "Chispa Nejra" (José Rey, CN Beluso) imposed their law in a corrected time, while in the general classification, which scores for the Galicia Cup of Cruises, the oil ship was placed equally leader, followed by "Sebrala 2" (a second!), "Ozosana" (Juan Carlos Pérez, CN Coma.
In the buoy of Cabezo de Morrazán, after the "Oils Abril" they sailed "Ozosana," "Chispa Nejra" and "Meigas Fora" (José Codesido, RCN Portosin), but in the turn to the Faro Mourisca, where the grympola of the Nautico Vigués already took off, the battle in the back focused on "Ozosana" and "Meigas Fora" and "Sebrala 2" and the "Chispa Nejra."
The fleet would still live in the buoy of Tambo and Morrazan to win in real time the First 44.7 "Oils April" (2: 25.20), followed by the First 40.7 "Meigas Fora" (2: 36.02), "Sebrala 2" (2: 37.43) and the IMX 38 "Ozosana" (2: 38.21).
In compensation, the "Oils Abril" commanded class 1 with "Ozosana," "Meigas Fora" and "Aldán" behind, in the 2 the fight was for the Bavaria 50 "Sebrala 2" with the "Nautilus" (Cándido Couselo, CNR Ferrol) second. "Chispa Nejra," with up to four rival ships that did not finish the race, led class 3.
This Sunday, the second and final day of the Guardian Regata, which decides the winners of each class and also puts the final brooch to the Galicia Cup 2018, whose title will raise the crew of the "Meigas Fora" in representation of the RCN Portosín, club champion... the fleet is convened at 13: 30 in Marín... and at 5: 00 in the afternoon, the award of prizes at the Naval School.
26 / 10 / 2018: The Galicia Cup of Superpaco in play in the Guardian Regata
The Galicia de Superpaco Cup, which was bought by Francisco Quiroga without a doubt the best president of the history of the Galician candle, with the permission of Cholo Marina and José Ramón Fontan... the one who managed to bring a Galician ship to the World Tour, when it was a regatta-regatta and not the commercial show in which it has become, without wanting to deduce with this claim to those who have competed in recent years... with the Galicia 93 Pescanova and with the very first-row rivals! Javier Ganara achieved the third place in 1993 with a fully-built Galician and with an important percentage of the Spanish crew of the Galicia.
Paco, or Superpaco for those of us who love him, acquired this maystatic piece in London... from the hand of the great Carmelo Doors... a trophy for golf or tennis that Alfonso XIII had donated for an event in England at the beginning of the last century... and by chance it was transformed into the Galicia Cup of Cruises there in the early 1990s... by the way it was to be boarded by an employee of the Fede at the time of Villaverde... but we will tell you that on another occasion...
Now it's at stake in this Guardiamarina Regatta... but only to put the chapita in her comb... fortunately she was neither taken in nor anyone will take her home...
25 / 10 / 2018: The Guardian of Cruises by the temporary will not go down to the river of Vigo and stays in Pontevedra

The Guardian Regatta will perform its Silver Wedding with two races in the Ria de Pontevedra due to weather forecasts
The Guardian of Cruises Regata returns this weekend ready to fight against the elements in her year of the Wedding of her Silver Wedding. The joint organization of the Royal Nautical Club of Vigo and the Naval Commission of Regatas of Marín plans the event exclusively in the river of Pontevedra after assessing the weather forecasts that they manage of the weekend.
As time is bad, with very strong winds, and lacking in the end of the year an alternative date to dispute the most historic of the cruise competitions in which the Military Naval School is immersed, the regatta committee has decided to modify the traditional Marin-Vigo and Vigo- Marin routes for two tests in the pontevedresa era, provided that the appropriate conditions are given.
Although the list of registered persons is not closed until the afternoon of this Friday, almost 20 ships have already confirmed their presence. Among them is the "Oils Abril" (Luis and Jorge Pérez Canal), which will defend the grympola of the Royal Nautical Club of Vigo and which in recent years had not participated in this two-day race.
The winner of 2014 also appears in Regata-Cruise, the "Ozosana" (Juan Carlos Pérez Olmedo, CN Commud) and units of the Bouzas Maritime Liceo, Real Club Náutico Portosín, CN Beluso, Real Club Náutico de Sanxenxo, Club Marítimo Rias Baixas and the Navy, both from the Marin Naval Regatta Commission, with the largest fleet, and from Ferrol.
