The powerful J80 fleet of Cantabria, with 20 units, starts its race season with the Trophy Liberbank Private Banking -J.P Morgan

The autumn-winter season has as its fundamental objective the preparation of the J80 World Championship to be held in the Basque Country and in which the Cantabrian fleet already appears in the first bets for victory. The Liberbank-J.P Morgan Trophy has marked the exit signal of the J80 Cantabrian fleet, one of the most numerous and most quality in the country, and has about 20 very active vessels that have already premiered in competition. Despite having held a championship before this trophy this has been the time when all the members of the fleet have started with the autumn-winter calendar

Despite the very poor wind conditions, the Regatas Committee was able to carry out two tests in the Santanderin Bay last Saturday, cancelling the third scheduled test. The Pair of Ignacio Camino, Matrako of Ricardo Diaz- Muino and Kia of Fernando Pereda lead the Liberbank Private Banking - J.P Morgan with a triple tie to 10 points that shows how hard the season will be for this fleet of J80. After the three units in provisional podium, Jaime Piris's Mercury stalks only one point from the triple tie. The Liberbank-J.P Morgan Trophy will end on November 3 with a dozen scheduled tests.
