The "Genius 4" that together with the "Porron IX," "Finally 3" and "Temptress Two," have been proclaimed winners
The Royal Nautical Club of Valencia celebrated this weekend the eighth edition of the Trophy Dr. Luis Senís, one of the most important tests of the Valencian club, which has the sponsorship of the well-known maxilofacial surgeon who is at the same time one of the participants of the race. The test has been marked by the weather conditions, which have not made it easy for the fleet and the committee, but have finally made it possible to complete the three tests provided for in the programme.
On Saturday the wind blew from the north-east with an intensity of between 15 and 18 knots and wave mounted, which tested the regatists along two tests consisting of barlovent-sotavent routes of 6 and a half miles each. Today the fleet has completed a trapeze-shaped tour, again with stable north-east wind with 15 knots of intensity. At the end, both the race committee and the participants were very pleased to have been able to complete the programme despite the harsh conditions of the weekend.
Class 1 has experienced the duel between two identical ships, the Porron IX of Luis Senís and Brujo of Alberto de Castro, which has been saved in favor of Senís, with three strong victories in the three trials held.
In a class 2, made up of three identical First 40.7, Javier de Tomás and his Genius 4 have been uncountable, with three first places in the three mangas celebrated, followed by Majoche, Alejandro Fliquete and the Politècnica University of València, José Salinas.
At last 3, by Millán Alvarez, he has won class 3 with a second place in the first trial and two wins in the remaining ones. The second general square in this class has been for Blue Lizard by Eduardo Tur, with Tikismikis by Ignacio Bañón completing the podium.
Finally, Temptress Dos, by Ricardo Llopis, has been made with a tight victory in Class 4 to Class E against Saona, by Gonzalo Calvo, who has been second, with Aquax, by Manuel Martínez, in third position.
