The Light-Sailing Atlantic Week, organized by the Royal Nautical Vigo Club with the sponsorship of Agua de Sousas and the Recutación de Pontevedra, had as star the Vigués Pablo Cabello world champion of the class in 2017, which with Javier Martínez, of the Club de Vela Fluvial de as Pontes, as a crew has added a second position and a first in many other races and already runs in the Iberian Championship of the class with 3 points, although the Galician remains a question of Tone Pérez and Ana Santirso, also of the Nautico vigués.
In 420, Martin Wizner and Pedro Ameneiro (RCN Vigo) and Jacobo García and Toni Ripoll (RCN Sanxenxo) met again, all of the world's champions Sub-17 this year (Wizner and Ameneiro in January in Fremantle, García and Ripoll in Newport in summer), all of the continental champions in Sesimbra in Sub-17 and júnior, respectively. Both this class and the laser were unable to meet the program planned by the absence of wind.
In 420, Wizner and Ameneiro (RCN Vigo) won, followed by Yago Barca and Diego Peleteiro and Jacobo García and Toni Ripoll, both crews of the Sanxenxo Nautico. García and Ripoll defend the title of the Week, in which the Sanxenxo fleet pressurizes the leaders by coping the following seven posts.
In laser, the Portuguese Miguel Rothes (CV Atlantic) leads the Standard classification with 5 points, series of 1- 3- (8) -1, tied with Rafael Campelo (RCM Aguete), which with its records, 3- 1- (3), is the solid provisional leader of the Galician Championship. Meanwhile, radial and 4.7 remain as they were because they could not have held a race. Thus, Roberto Bermudez de Castro (RCN Coruña, 2-2-1) in radial and Pedro Fernández (Marítimo de Canido, 1-5-1) in laser 4.7.
In snipes, the first leaders of Atlantic Week 2018 are the current champions, Patricio de Haga and Mario Pérez del Náutico de Vigo, who were imposed in the first and only race of the afternoon. After the Viguese ship, the lute Joao Leite and Joao Castro (CV Atlántico) and Juan Luis Pérez-Lafuente and Carmen Blanco (Real Club de Regatas de Galicia).
For this Sunday, third and last day for laser and vaurien and second and last for snipes and 420... the forecast, start at 11: 00 in the morning.
19 / 10 / 2018: It began in the river of Vigo the Week of the Atlantic of Sailing with laser and vaien tests
Tone Pérez, the subchampion of the absolute world, has been the leader of the Vaurien Galicia Championship, within the events scheduled by the Royal Nautical Vigo Club in Atlantic Week 2018, which has launched the first of the three cycles, with sponsorship of Sousas Water and the Receptation of Pontevedra.
The vineyard, with Ana Santirso as a crew member, has been imposed on the two races of a complicated day in weather terms: many roles, changes from 10 degrees of wind from one moment to another and, of course, of intensity. As soon as the fleet sailed with 8 knots as it went down to 5 or up to 12.
Without Pablo Cabello, who is added this Saturday to fight for the Iberian Championship - it is the current Iberian champion - and Atlantic Week (two other titles at stake), the Galician seems to be a thing of three crews, with the González sisters, women's champions, in their pursuit.
The other Galician championship in play, that of Laser (in Standard, Radial and 4.7), was able to hold up to three tests in the race field located in the vicinity of Con de Pego. Rafael Campelo (3-1-1 series), from the Real Club de Mar de Aguete, Roberto Bermudez de Castro (RCN Coruña, 2-2-1) and Pedro Fernández (Marítimo de Canido, 1-5-1), command in Laser Standard, Radio and 4.7, respectively, in a fleet of 75 units.
With the fleet called for 11: 00 and a slightly better weather, this Saturday the 420 and the Snipes are already in battle

The tests will last a total of nine days, three days per cycle, instead of the seven regular days other years, as the first cycle grows (19-21 October).
