In the last participation of the junior team in a World Cup of the International Surfing Association was the 2016 edition in Azores where Spain won the 19th position
Yael Peña, Iker Amatriaín, Diego Suárez, Nadia Erostarbe, Ana Betancor and Julia González in Sub 18. Sean gunning, Adur Amatriain, Paolo Giorgi, Melania Suárez, Lucia Machado and Laura de los Reyes in Sub 16 complete the 12 national selection places in the junior world of California that will be held between October 27 and November 4.
After the great performance at the EuroSurf Junior in Portugal in July, where Spain won the silver medal, the junior face the great quote of junior surfing for selections as a great opportunity to measure to the best junior surfers worldwide.
The ISA World Junior Surfing Championship 2018 makes a firm commitment to equality and for the first time the selections will be represented by the same number of girls and boys. In this way, the teams will be made up of up to 3 boys and 3 girls in the categories sub 16 and sub 18.
After several concentrations during the season and participation in the EuroSurf Junior in Portugal, the national team technicians have decided the surfers who will travel to the United States to complete the available places by category.
