The regatist of the Barcelona Club Náutic El Masnou, Mónica Azón, was proclaimed in the waters of the Ria de Vigo champion of Europe of the Laser Master Class, in the continental championship that ended on the afternoon of Thursday in the Galician city, with the organization of the Bouzas Maritime Liceo and the Club Marítimo de Vigo, and the sponsorship of the Concello de Vigo and Depitation of Pontevedra. The event is part of the Abanca Week, which continues on Friday in La Coruña, by the hand of its Royal Nautical Club, which organizes the fifth cycle reserved for the snipes and cruises, with the Lexus Breogán Cup.

As very little wind was planned in Vigo, even though the fleet was beginning its attempts very soon: at 11: 00 a.m., sterile efforts... as until 2: 00 p.m. the only procedure that was used to exvlassively complete a sleeve in each category, with soft winds of the south-west of about eight knots could not be initiated.

First the radials began, with logic because Jon Emmet did not allow an apex to surprise by becoming the continental title as was foreseeable. The one that was left out of the rule was the Mónica Azón, who surprised his own and strangers made an authentic regatta, achieving absolute victory, which was worth being the best female in Europe in the specialty and the sixth absolute contending to the men. Splendid Catalan. Also in very good line José Ramón Pardo of the Real Club Náutico de La Coruña, who was the first in the Spanish general and first male. Other prominent "armed" lasers: the Catalan Gorón and Jane, the Viguese Rodriguez and Gaona and the Basque Gomeza.

In standard Spanish hopes were about knowing whether Jordi Capella would be able to hold on to British Alan Davis from Oxford... but he couldn't and had to settle for the subchampionship that's not bad. Roses's had in his hand the European title, which he caressed, but had no luck on the day of the race. The sixth and second Spanish was the Pontevedrés Carlos Echavarri of the Real Club Náutico de Madrid. The rest of the nationals among the first 30, the three Gallegos: Pablo Morillo, Javier Echavarri and Alfredo Vázquez... two pontevedres and a vigués.

The closing ceremony chaired by the mayor of Vigo, Abel Caballero, of this successful European of Vela, which has made for the Bouzas Liceo a historic milestone after 112 years of existence, and for the Maritime of Vigo, was held at the edge of the six in the afternoon.

2018-10-10 The European Laser Master of the Abanca Week in Vigo seen for judgment

The Barcelonese Jordi Capella who competes for the Gen Roses de Girona is the best located Spanish regatist to achieve one of the two oros that from 11: 30 in the morning, will be held in the Ria de Vigo, on the path of the European Laser Master's Day that are organizing the Bouzas Maritime Liceo and the Club Marítimo de Vigo, and that is immersed in the Abanca Week. The other important title within the reach of a component of the "armada" is that of the European radial champion, a medal that has within its reach the Mónica Azón of the Nàutic Club El Masnou, which today is established as it rises to the eighth place of the general in its class. At five o'clock in the afternoon, the ceremony is scheduled for the Tinglado of the Port of the Harbour Authority of Vigo, the award ceremony, which will put point and end, to this historic quote for the Galician candle, which has in play the great prizes of the Concello de Vigo and Depitation of Pontevedra, in an act that will be chaired by the mayor of Vigo, Abel Caballero.

Wind in the Viguese era in which it was the fourth day of competition, but changing and roll, which caused the judges commanded by the Andalusian Luky Serrano, to have to be used in depth to complete two sleeves in each category... before and after there were two cancellations of the evidence that had been initiated. The average wind was in the 10 knots of the south and the fantastic day in this incomparable area of Galician geography.

In the radio he is all in favour of the British Jon Emmet to achieve the European scepter. It takes 4 first of 5 races, and its dominion is overwhelming. Behind him, his compatriot Ian Jones but at a considerable distance, despite his guarisms also of cinema: 2-2-7-3-3. The bronze must be for the Italian Alessio Martinelli with 11 points, as the fourth is already very far away from this triplet, and is another English: Rob Cage, from a legendary Cowes club: the Royal Thames Yacht Club, one of the organizers of the mythical Cowes Week and the Admiral's Cup.

The best of our representatives, Monica Azón who must be the best girl. Among the first thirty are another seven Spaniards: two Catalans (Goron and Jane), one Coruñés (Pardo), two Vigueses (Gaona and Rodriguez) and two Basque... Enrique Arriola and Pablo Gomeza, common in the crews of the best ships of the Abra de Getxo.

In standard it will not have easy Jordi Capella, who comes as leader of the final day with a distance of just three points over Alan David. The best thing for the Barcelona who has despised a score of 9 points (which is not bad), by a poor position of the British (23). In the fifth square is Carlos Echavarri and his brother in the tenth, both of Pontevedra capital and who compete for the Nautico of Madrid. From there to the thirtieth place: another pontevedrés (Morillo), a vigués (Fredy Vázquez), the gold medal Miguel Noguer and the also Barcelona Grau of the Royal Nautical Club of Barcelona.

09 / 10 / 2018: effect hit by Jordi Capella who already dominates standard laser in the European of the Abanca Week

La mejor noticia el liderato de Jordi Capella (Foto Pedro Seoane)

The best news the leader of Jordi Capella (Photo Pedro Seoane)

The Catalan Jordi Capella of the club of the gerundense club of Rosas is the new leader of the standard class in the European Laser Master Championship, framed at the Abanca Week, which organized by the Bouzas Maritime Licensing and the Vigo Maritime Club counted yesterday in the Ria de Vigo, its third day of competition. In the radial class no race could be completed, so the leader remains the British Jon Emmet of the Weir Wood Sailin Club, while the best female remains the Mónica Azón of the Nàutic El Masnou Club, which is also the best Spanish regatist, occupying the tenth place in the general.

On Tuesday, the judges commanded by the Gaditan Luky Serrano, with the support of Catalan Pep Subirats and Galician Manuel Rodríguez, Emilio Méndez and Alberto Bolíbar, tried everything so that at least the "radials" could celebrate their fourth manga. The wind that appeared on the edge of the one in the afternoon, did so with little intensity (the 8 knots were never exceeded) and with many wells; to the extent that with the entire fleet in the water the standards were able to conclude, while the radials saw how they were left in their area completely slowed by the lack of wind. At the end of the day, about six o'clock in the afternoon, it was decided to do the logical thing and to end the third day of this European.

In the only test of the day, which was of the standard class, we confirmed what we announced in the previous Sunday... and that is that Jordi Capella came at an excellent time of form with the healthy intention of getting the continental title. And the fact is that the Catalan achieved his second first place, which was good for him to be absent in the general at the top, ahead of the British from Oxford, Alan Davis, who is already second below the Spanish.

Another of the "armada" that is brilliant in Vigo is the pontevedrés that competes for the Real Club Nautico of Madrid: Carlos Echavarri, which is together with Capella the only one that remains in the top ten standard. The rest of the members of this group are Dutch, Australian, American and German regatists, along with an Italian named after a legendary Argentine football doorman: Carnevali, who is in the seventh square.

To highlight also that the third Spanish is at present the vigués Alfredo Vázquez, who was Olympic in the company of Don Felipe de Borbón and Fernando León, when occupying the thirteenth place, very attached to him another Galician Javier Echavarri and the Barcelona gold medal Miguel Noguer which is 25. The next one in the Mario Morillo classification of the Real Club de Mar de Aguete.

For the fourth day of this European, which has the support of the Concello de Vigo and the Rechtación de Pontevedra, with the beginning of the sleeves at one in the afternoon... if the wind allows.

Great Britain holds first in Vigo, in the European Laser of the Abanca Week

España mejor en standard, con cuatro de diez en el top ten (Foto Pedro Seoane)

Spain best in standard, with four of ten in top ten (Photo Pedro Seoane)

The British Jon Emmet on radio and Alan Davis on standard are the leaders of the European Laser Master Championship organized by the Bouzas Maritime Liceo and the Vigo Maritime Club, with the support of the Vigo Concello and the Pontevedra Recession, held their second day of competition in the Vigo Ria. However Britain, despite leading the two categories, does not have the overwhelming domain and the first day, because both the Italian Alessio Marinelli in radial and the Barcelona Jordi Capella in standard occupy the second squares, and the Catalan Monica Azón is the best of the girls in radial. For the third day of the race, on which the European equator will pass, and each participant will be able to discard its worst score, which will lead to changes in the generals.

They started with a delay of about three hours on Monday. The reason for the absence of wind... already at the edge of four and a half o'clock a soft breeze from the north-west made it possible to complete the one that would be the third manga... and even the second and fourth day of the Championship began, but the judges before the fall of the wind were forced to cancel it.

In radio the English Jon Emmet unstoppable achieved the third victory, so it stands out in the general, followed by Marinelli of Italy that was second, being the bronze for the Belgian Van Laer that ascends to the sixth place in the general. With regard to our representatives, the best Mónica Azón who made an impressive room, surrounded by boys, who aupated it to the tenth absolute and first female square.

Also in radial the second of the Spaniards is the Herculino José Ramón Pardo that marches first and that competes for the Real Club Náutico de La Coruña, and after the Didier Goron del Náutico of Barcelona. Other of the army are Denis Rodríguez de Galicia on the 17th, the Vigués Antonio Gaona del Náutico de Vigo 20, or the Basque Arriola del Marítimo del Abra on the 22nd.

In standard command Davis Alan of Britain, but he has a Jordi Capella in second place very in form that today he won the third test. The third position for the Pontevedrés Carlos Echavarri, who competes for the Nautico of Madrid, as well as his brother Javier who marches from tenth for the moment. The vineyard Alfredo Vázquez goes down to the ninth square.

Swords high in Vigo, in this European Laser Master Championship, with a Mónica Azón master who is already the first lady of the general, and another component of the team of Catalonia, such as the Barcelona Jordi Capella who is in second position in the standard category, with serious options to choose the continental title. On the part of the Galician fleet, three of its representatives are listed in the top ten of the standard class.

07 / 10 / 2018: British lasers dominate at the end of the first day in the European Vigo

La jornada espectacular con vientos de 15 a 18 nudos del nordeste (Foto Pedro Seoane)

The spectacular day with winds of 15 to 18 knots from the north-east (Photo Pedro Seoane)

The British regatists Jon Emmet and Alan Davis, dominate in the radial and standard categories of the European Laser Master Championship that with a spectacular day has started in the waters of the Vigo Ria, under the baton of the Marírime de Bouzas Liceo and the Marítimo de Vigo Club, and that will take place until next Thursday, after ten tests, with the support of the Concello de Vigo, the Recutation of Pontevedra, as well as other institutions and companies basically Galician.

The wind has been punctual to appear, and when it has done it to more it has been constant: 15 to 18 knots of the north-east... which has caused both the vistosity, and that technically Luky Serrano and his team of technicians could be seen, with a clean fan exits, and a very fast race, without just incidents worthy of review.

In radio the domain has been total of the British, who have placed three of their team components in the first three squares: Jon Emmet of the Weir Wood who has achieved two first, Ian Jones with two seconds and Rob Cage with a fourth and a third. The fourth line is for the Italian Alessio Marinei and the fifth place for another British, Max Hunt.

We have to go down to the seventh square to find the first Spanish: the Barcelona Didier Gorón, being the eighth square for another, José Ramón Pardo of the Real Club Náutico de La Coruña. Already in the fourteenth and fifteenth places two Catalans of the Nautical Club El Masnou: Carlos Jane and Monia Azón... occupying the 20th place a Galician, Denis Rodríguez.

The standard is Alan David from the Oxford Sailing Club who runs a third and a fourth. Segundo is a vigués that competes for the Barcelonese Beauty and was Olympic in soling with Fernando León and Felipe de Borbón: Alfredo Vázquez. Third another Galician, the pontevedrés Carlos Echavarri, who is in the escudería of the Real Club Náutico de Madrid. The fourth place for the best German Roger Schulz, being the fifth other Spanish... Jordi Capella of Barcelona, relegating the American Michael Matán who was first on standard in the opening sleeve of this class.

Another Galician Javier Echávarri also in the ranks of the Real Club Náutico de Madrid is decimosegundo, and our Olympic gold medal Miguel Noguer of El Masnou marches at the end of this first day on the decimosexual square.

For the second day Monday, with the programming of two tests. If completed, the worst test of each score participant could be discarded, which will surely bring with it changes, perhaps important, in the general classifications. For the moment in Vigo perfect weather conditions in the European Laser Master.
