The long-distance Spanish Championship, which was held last weekend, was held this year in the "Tournament 525 Anniversary da Arribada da Pinta a Baiona." This tournament brought together three tests: the long-distance test of the Paddle Surf Spanish Championship, the technical career and the sprints. The winner of it would be the surfer who obtained the best computer in the summatoria of the three results.

The Spanish Championship in categories 14 'and 12' 6 women would crown Gloria Torrijos and Laura Quetglas respectively. The 14 'podium would be completed by Marina Navarro and Barbara Bellavia. On its side, the 12' 6 podium would complete Esperanza Barreras and Sonia Hurtado.

The winner of the tournament would be the Galician Marta Abruñedo, the second best classified would be the new long-distance Spanish champion Laura Quetglas and the third also Galician Esperanza Barreras. Barreras would get the second best time on Saturday in the long distance test proclaiming also the Spanish subchampion.

In the male category, the results of the 14 'long-distance Spanish championship test would place Pablo Ania at the forefront of the classification followed by Rafael Sirvent and Enrique Hurtados.

In the "Tournament 525 Anniversary da Arribada," the Donostiarra, Jugi Zulaika would be the winner ahead of Miquel Roigé and Rui Miguel Ramos.

In the junior categories the new Spanish champions in long distance are: category sub 18: Aaron Sánchez and Aida Soberbio; sub 16: Manuel Hoyuelos and Amaia Mellado; sub 14: Ivan de Frutos and Sonia Caimari; and in sub 12: Vince Duschneit and Evie Mclernon.

In the sub- 18 category the title of champion was taken by the young Aaron Sanchez, the second place would be for Manuel Hoyuelas and Benjamin Laurence Moreham. In the female category, the first and second best classified sub-18 were Sovereign Aída, and Dina Gordillo, both team partners, and the third Rakele Mannino.

The first edition of the "Salitre Fest," in addition to the Spanish Paddlesurf Championship, will feature a parallel programming of leisure, concerts and food trucks. The festival began on September 28 and will bring together the best Spanish athletes from Stand Up Paddleen all categories. In the morning, the juniors will take place, in which about 50 athletes will participate.

In the afternoon, it will be the turn of the tests of the absolute category with the Spanish Long Distance Championship, a total tour of 15 km and where a hundred athletes will fight for victory.

The test, which will lead the athletes to take a tour of Baiona Bay, up to As Estelas, will return on Sunday and will serve the turn for the junior to fight the Spanish Long Distance Championship with a tour of 3 and 8 kilometres. On the same day, the semifinals and finals of the Technical Career as well as the Open, Female and Male Sprints are scheduled to be held.

"Salitre Fest" will bring together more than 150 athletes, including the Majorcan Laura Quetglas, the leading champion of Europe and world bronze; also international Pepe Oltra, Román Freijo, Jurgui Zulaika, Rafael Sirvent and Pablo Ania.
