The second training window for all who aspire to be national surf coaches will start next October... this new training stage will be open during the last months of the year.

During the October and November calls, the Spanish Federation will go to the following communities: Andalusia, Catalonia, Valencia, Murcia and Euskadi. On this occasion the Basque Country was the first stop, in particular the Guipuzcoana town of Zarautz. Also, to highlight the collaboration of the Catalan Union of Surf in the realization of the course of Catalonia in Castelldefels, this is the transition course so that from 2019 this autonomous federation begins to provide the training under the same approach.

A total of 4 courses and 4 communities to fire the National Training Course of Surf level 1. Ignacio points out, "We have an average of 15 students per course and pre-registration is already open. This year, if we see that according to demand there are a specific number of students who want to propose a particular place, we could study the possibility."

A complete and educational course that teaches the technique and tactics of this sport, as well as the knowledge at the level of sports initiation, to direct and program training in clubs and schools. The calls will be as follows: Zarautz (from 20 to 25 October), Castelldefels (from 27 October to 1 November), Valencia (from 1 to 6 November), Conil (from 10 to 15 November), to be confirmed by Murcia according to those enrolled.

The course begins with the performance of a specific test in which the skills as a surfer of the candidate will be demonstrated. Once the test is completed, the student will perform the present course, which is divided into 5 areas: skills, teaching, safety, material and regulations. These contents will be developed in the online block so that they can be applied during the course supervised by the teacher and with a cooperative working methodology. The final evaluation will be made at the conclusion of the online and face-to-face block.

After the previous blocks, all students will have 150 hours of training to develop the teaching-learning method in the official schools of the FESurfing. In order to carry out this course it is necessary to be 16 years old and the graduate in secondary education (ESO) or equivalent to academic purposes. The price will be 715 €, without ISA (International Surfing Association) validation, or 890 €with it. The payment modality shall be made with a single payment or in 4 instalments, one for pre-registration and another three for the month following the start of the course.
