For the second consecutive year, the Pyragüismo has its space in the Abanca Week, a leading role for the younger, who in a number more than 100 will compete from 4: 30 on the afternoon of Saturday in the waters of Bouzas, in the middle of Vigo, with the Galicia Cup of Kayak de Mar. Today it has been news that the Organizing Committee of the Abanca Week, has announced that through its partner as far as Piragüismo is concerned, the Olívico Pyragüism Club, has already started negotiations with the Federations of Galicia and Spain, so that Vigo hosts in 2019 an international competition of base pyragüismo, with a participation above the thousands of palists from at least Spain and Portugal.

This year's Galicia Cup is open to more categories than was the first edition last season: preBenjamin, Benjamin, Alevin, Children (two categories) and Cadet. In all there will be male and female classifications... two circulites being planned: one of a mile very close to the beach of Bouzas and one with a longer length, to the end of the hatch of the port of Bouzas. The younger will compete over 15 minutes and the older just twice the time. In any case, the programming must be complete at seven o'clock in the afternoon.

In the first edition, the club winner had been the Portuguese Nautical Fao Club, followed by the Olívico Piragüismo Club and the Aldán Club de Mar Ria. This year, the Olívico hosts leave with clear podium options, along with the Pontevedra Naval Club and the Aldán Sea Club. A competition that has Ivan Alonso Lage as his best man, a luxury. The team has three world titles and seven European marathon titles, and has been the great record of the current season of the Olívico, a club that presides one of the largest workers of Galicia, for the base sport: Javier Herrera.
