New day without wind in Valencia, which ends at the 52 Super Series

Luna Rossa says goodbye... with a victory in the last race that is added to the one they got in June in Croatian waters
Luna Rossa of the Italian shipowner Patricio Bertelli was proclaimed winner of the 52 Super Series Valencia Sailing Week. The Italian ship was the great beneficiary of the lack of wind on the beach of La Malvarrosa as the results were kept from the previous day because no manga can be disputed today. The podium of the competition that closes the season was completed by Doug DeVos's Quantum Racing and Harm Müller-Spreer's Platoon.
Luna Rossa says goodbye from the 52 Super Series to the big. With a victory in the last race that is added to the one they achieved in June in the Croatian city of Zadar. The Italians have joined the world's best race for monocasque ships to continue to progress as a crew for the 2021 American Cup in New Zealand. And they leave happy as they have been able to introduce into the team young Italian regatists who will be on the southern meeting. But despite having distributed the five wins of the season with the Quantum Racing there is a very relevant data that speaks of the equality and demand of the races and is the fact that they have not been able to reach the final podium of the season as Quantum, Platoon and Azzurra, more experienced in this competition, have overcome them.

21 / 09 / 2018: "Quantum" proclaims in Valencia mathematically winner of the TP52 Super Series

The Americans, on an impeccable day, mathematically ensure the triumph in the 2018 circuit and arrive at the last day of tomorrow with options of triumph in Valencia. Quantum, Azzurra and Sled won today's sleeves
Quantum Racing today had its most glorious day in Valencia that served to proclaim itself mathematically already as the champion of the general ranking of the 52 Super Series circuit one day in advance. The Americans thus get their fourth crown in which it is considered the best race circuit in the world for monocasque ships. The previous victories of the American ship were in the 2013, 2014 and 2016 seasons.
The other boat that has won the 52 Super Series has been the Azzurra that did it in 2012, 2015 and 2017. Thus, Doug DeVos, owner of the sailboat, breaks the equality he had in titles with the Azzurra of the Roemmers family. Tomorrow night at the great closing party of the season at the 'Umbracle' in Valencia the sailboat will receive the champion trophy. A very worthy triumph based on the consistency they have shown all season.
The first manga was the premiere of Quantum in Valencia.... the American ship had never won a manga in the 52 Super Series in Valencia in the three editions that the race has been in the Marina of Valencia. It took him 25 sleeves to win his first in Valencia and that's not normal on the boat led this week by Barker and Hutchinson. It was Barker who made an impeccable exit on the side of the viewer and from there he dominated the rest of the fleet across the proas of all. Worse was the Alegre de Andrés Soriano who had to return to the exit to penalize for leaving before hours.
The second manga was a true monologue of the Azzurra. They looked for the pin that they fought with the Sled. In the end they were the ones who were stuck and very fast by the viewer and, as the Quantum had done in the first manga, they already dominated the manga from there. The Protenzza made an off-line and more penalties occurred when in the first barlovent buoy both the Platoon and the Rossa Moon had to do 360 degrees of punishment. For the Italians it was the best way to recover from the bad start of the day with its eighth place on the first sleeve.
The third manga was a real roller coaster. The teams went up and down in positions and the most prominent was the Rossa Moon that passed through the barlovento buoy of the first stretch in the last position after making a double penalty and had an impressive recovery that led to him being third on the same site in the second round of the circuit. Azzurra had speed problems on this sleeve and was losing positions after also doing a bad way out. Platoon was from less to more while Quantum was the only one who remained in front positions. The triumph was for the Sled of the American shipowner of Japanese descent Takashi Okura.
Tomorrow there will be two new tests of the 52 SUPER SERIES Valencia Sailing Week... so is the classification in Valencia:
1. Luna Rossa (ITA) (Patrizio Bertelli) (6,1,1,3,4,6,8,2) 31 points.
2. Quantum Racing (USA) (Doug DeVos) (8,2,6,6,2,1,4.3) 32 p.
3. Platoon (GER) (Harm Müller-Spreer) (1,4,4,8,1,3,7,5) 33 p.
4. Azzurra (ARG / ITA) (Alberto Roemmers) (2,3,3,5,7,8,9) 38 p.
5. Alegre (USA / GBR) (Andrés Soriano) (4,5,5,4,5,7,10,6) 46 p.
6. Onda (BRA) (Eduardo de Souza Ramos) (10,8,2,3,11,5,8) 48 p.
7. Sled (USA) (Takashi Okura) (5,10,8,10,6,5,3.1) 48 p.
8. Provides (TUR) (Ergin Imre) (9,11 + 2 penalti, 7,2,9,4,6,4) 54 p.
9. Phoenix (RSA) (Hasso / Tina Plattner) (3,6,9,12RET + 2 penalti, 11,2,2,11) 58 p.
10. Gladiator (GBR) (Tony Langley) (7,9,11,7,10,9,9.7) 69 p.
11. Paprec (FRA) (Jean Luc Petithuenin) (11,7,10,9,10,11,10) 76 p.
20 / 09 / 2018: "Luna Rossa" most leading in the TP52 Super Series of Valencia

The Brazilian ship of De Souza Ramos makes an extraordinary day in Valencia with three podiums, while the Italians consolidate their leadership with a very regular day in the 52 Super Series
The Brazilian Onda of the shipowner Eduardo de Souza Ramos will remember forever today in Valencia. The TP52 made the perfect day with a second, a first and a third thanks to the tactical decisions of the five-time Olympic medalist Robert Scheidt and the good exits starring the Brazilian shipowner. The other great winner of the day, in which three exits could be given and one of the lost yesterday, was the Rossa Moon, which with solid results remained only in front of the general of the 52 Super Series Valencia Sailing Week. Behind them is the Platoon and the Azzurra that completes the podium after five contested sleeves.
The first manga was a tactic lesson by Robert Scheidt who was the first to see that the right side of the race field was benefiting. The Onda left only on that side and was able to navigate with very clean lines which was giving it advantages over the rest of the fleet that was going tortoise. The first to be released from the battle was the Rossa Moon, which was able to create chaos in the rest and leave with Rosites in search of victory.
Eduardo de Souza, the cane and shipowner, today made three excellent exits that always gave options to the ship built in the shipyards of King Marine in Alginet to be in positions of dominion of the fleet. That superiority materialized in the second manga of the day when from beginning to end.
The third manga was marked by the penalty the Azzurra suffered in the buoy of barlovento. There came the ships all very united in the central area of the fleet, with Platoon clearly first. The TP52 of the Roemmers family had the pressure not to give the Germans much advantage in the fight for second place. And by risking through the buoy fighting with Luna Rossa and Alegre was penalized.
Again the Onda made an excellent sleeve and was always in head positions fighting and winning the game to a whole Quantum Racing. Platoon made his magnificent way out to win the sleeve. On Friday two new tests will be held... the classification is like this:
1. Luna Rossa (ITA) (Patrizio Bertelli) (6,1,1,3,4) 15 points.
2. Platoon (GER) (Harm Müller-Spreer) (1,4,4,8,1) 18 p.
3. Azzurra (ARG / ITA) (Alberto Roemmers) (2,3,3,5,7) 20 p.
4. Alegre (USA / GBR) (Andrés Soriano) (4,5,5,4,5) 23 p.
5. Onda (BRA) (Eduardo de Souza Ramos) (10,8,2,1.3) 24 p.
6. Quantum Racing (USA) (Doug DeVos) (8,2,6,6,2) 24 p.
7. Sled (USA) (Takashi Okura) (5,10,8,10,6) 39 p.
8. Provides (TUR) (Ergin Imre) (9.11 + 2 penalti, 7.2.9) 40 p.
9. Phoenix (RSA) (Hasso / Tina Plattner) (3,6,9,12RET + 2 penalti, 11) 43 p.
10. Gladiator (GBR) (Tony Langley) (7,9,11,7,10) 44 p.
11. Paprec (FRA) (Jean Luc Petithuenin) (11,7,10,9,8) 45 p.
19 / 09 / 2018: The lack of wind in Valencian waters causes the suspension of the second act of the 52 Super Series
The second day of the 52 Super Series Valencia Sailing Week was suspended today due to the lack of wind on the beach of Malvarrosa. The ships went out into the sea and were waiting until after 4.30 p.m. for some wind to start to offer a minimum of guarantees to be able to fight at least one sleeve. But about five in the afternoon they all returned to the Valencia Navy without having had the option to compete.
Platoon is still a leader with the same points as the Azzurra. In third position is the Rossa Moon. The 13 entries for the Champions match between Valencia and the Juventus have been won by the Platoon as the best in yesterday's day. A great joy for the team piano, the Valencian Pepe Ribes who is a great fan of the Valencian team.
The race calendar is maintained until Saturday, although the forecast goes from the ten sleeves planned to eight. Tomorrow there will be two new sleeves of this competition... the beginning at one o'clock in the afternoon... after two valid sleeves the classification in Valencia is like this:
1. Platoon (GER) (Harm Müller-Spreer) (1,4) 5 points.
2. Azzurra (ARG / ITA) (Alberto Roemmers) (2,3) 5 p.
3. Luna Rossa (ITA) (Patrizio Bertelli) (6.1) 7 p.
4. Phoenix (RSA) (Hasso / Tina Plattner) (3.6) 9 p.
5. Alegre (USA / GBR) (Andrés Soriano) (4,5) 9 p.
6. Quantum Racing (USA) (Doug Devos) (8.2) 10 p.
7. Sled (USA) (Takashi Okura) (5.10) 15 p.
8. Gladiator (GBR) (Tony Langley) (7.9) 16 p.
9. Paprec (FRA) (Jean Luc Petithuenin) (11.7) 18 p.
10. Onda (BRA) (Eduardo de Souza Ramos) (10.8) 18 p.
11. Provides (TUR) (Ergin Imre) (9,11 + 2 penalti) 22 p.
