The third day of the Fall of Sailing Trophy in Gijón was suspended
The strong wind of the West with bursts that reached 27 knots of intensity, in the Gijonese bay, led to the suspension of the third test of the Fall Trophy of Cruises. The Regatas Committee, after setting up the barlovento-sotavento route, was forced, for safety reasons, to cancel the test before leaving.
The general classification in class I is headed by the Bullbox, by Luis Noguera, followed by the GS1, by Fernando Alonso and by the Taxus MedioAmbiente, by Alfredo Flórez. While the Ita II of Pedro Guerra leads the classification in class II, the Leonidas of Juan Manuel Quevedo is second by closing the podium posts the Espumeru of Roberto Fernández.

The BullBox, by Luis Noguera again became the fastest in the fleet and with this victory confirms his leadership in the Cruise Class I. The second square of the day was for an amazing Wanted, by Ricardo Simal who made an excellent manga, just 14 seconds from the first in compensated time. The Taxus MedioAmbiente, by Alfredo Flórez would end in the third position, exceeding the GS1, by Fernando Alonso, fourth in the sleeve, for just 2 seconds. The GS1 is second in the general classification followed by the Taxus Environment.
In class II, the triumph of the day was for the Espumeru, patronised by Roberto Fernández, in this case the ship of the Sports Club of the University of Oviedo was far superior to the rest of the fleet making a significant difference in the chrono to the second classified, the Leonidas, by Juan Manuel Quevedo.
The Ita II of Pedro Guerra would end on this occasion in third place, a position that serves to maintain the leadership of the general, followed by the Leonidas and the Espumeru.

The Bullbox, by Luis Noguera in Cruise I and the Ita II, by Pedro Guerra in Cruise II, first leaders of the Autumn Trophy of Cruises of the Royal Astur Club of Regatas. Last Saturday took place in Gijón Bay, the first race of the Fall Trophy of Cruises, which developed under excellent weather conditions; north-east wind between 12 and 15 knots of intensity, with wind sea, on a sunny day.
The fastest boat in the fleet was the Bullbox, by Luis Noguera, who once again led the manga from beginning to end, scratching a few valuable seconds in each stretch, which served him to win the first race of the Fall Trophy.
The second position this time was for the GS1, by Fernando Alonso, who made an excellent exit and remained in the second square during the entire test. In the end, only 48 seconds separated him in compensated time from the first classified. The third place was for the Taxus MedioAmbiente, with Alfredo Flórez to the cane.
In class II, much equality between the first two classified, the Ita II of Pedro Guerra and the Leonidas of Juan Manuel Quevedo. War crossed the line of arrival in the first place, exceeding in compensated time to Quevedo for just 8 seconds.
On the other hand, the first day of the Autumn Trophy of Vela Ligera, could not be celebrated on Sunday due to the total absence of wind in San Lorenzo Bay.

The Autumn Trophy organized by the Real Club Astur de Regatas de Gijón begins on Saturday with the cruises, Sunday will be the turn of the light sailing. The University of Oviedo- Grupo Isastur, by Roberto Álvarez Bucetas in the Cruise class I and the Ita II, by Pedro Guerra in Cruise II, are the ships to beat in a trial with twenty-four editions behind their back, a very expected and recognized Trophy by the city's regatists.
The winners of the last edition of the Autumn Trophy of Vela Ligera were Leticia Pelayo and Carlos Ordoñez in Snipe, while among the Optimist the title obtained it, Covadonga Fernández.
