The III Regata Camino de la Cruz, Trophy Punta Este steps strong. When there are just over two weeks to start the test, 22 and 23 September, the registered fleet already reaches the 70 ships, a spectacular and record figure that can increase in this period, as the registration period remains open. The organizing committee cuts the possibility of an increase of 15 to 20 more ships, so if those forecasts are met the race 'Punta Este' would reach the 90 ships.

But the current figure, a whole milestone given the type of race with a marked local character, but with projection of the future at other levels, is accompanied by a very high level of participation. Boats that have achieved important titles in this season, case of the alicantino Tanit IV Medilevel that comes from winning the King's Cup in class ORC 3 'non professional' plus the second place in the absolute general.

Other units that have achieved an important result in the palmesan race are also listed. In this line we have the cartagJanuary El Carmen, third in ORC 2 or the torreviejense Maverta that concluded fifth in this same class.

Along with them are other ships with an extraordinary level, both the Murcia Region and the Valencia Community. In the first of them we have Fandango 300, Cañas II, Brex, Olimpia, Trebol Queen II, Enewtec or Hakuna S by appointment of any of them. As for the Community fleet, in addition to Tanit IV Medilevel and Maverta, there are Black Octopus, Tucana, Trabuco, Ozu Two, Greek, Mik III or Apex among others.

It should be recalled that the race has two simultaneous exits: Real Club de Regatas de Cartagena and Real Club Náutico de Torrevieja, and with the meeting point at the Faro Cabo Palos... on the day of Sunday 23, and already with the ORC fleet in the Puerto Deportivo Tomás Maestre, the committee of regatas plans to complete a triangle in La Manga.
