The Genil River hosts the SUP River Spanish Championship

Between September 7 and 8, the Genil River will be the stage of this test that will crown the champion of Spain
This weekend, the Sup River Spanish Championship is taking place in the following areas: Cuevas, Bajas, Encina Reales, Benamejí and Palentian, both of which will take place in different sections of the Genil River through the provinces of Málaga and Córdoba.
The slalom test will start on Friday at 5: 00 in the afternoon and will be between 300- 400 meters long on a river sector of grade II. With a series of drop buoys and remount buoys the participants must demonstrate the expertise, skill, skill and maneuverability of the SUP River. They puncture the steps through the buoys and the time used to travel the slalom.
The test of descent shall be a route between 14.6 km, for POPULAR category, in the section of fast water of level G-I to GII and 20.4 km, for category OPEN, in a section of fast water of level G-I to GIII.
The exit will be in the town of Cuevas Bajas and will travel along the river a stretch to the Renaissance bridge of Benameji stone where the popular category will end and continue in the open category.
