Spanish pyragüismo has put gold brooch to the 2018 Marathon World Championship by getting eight medals, after adding in the last K2 trial the third place the Asturians Luis Pérez Amado and Miguel Llorens, which contributed to the national team reaching two oars, three plates and three bronzes.

The eight medals of Spain have been two gold (Tono Campos in C1 and Diego Romero- Oscar Graña in C2), three silver (in C1 Manuel Garrido, and Eva Barrios and Amaya Osaba in K2, and Luis Alvarez and Oscar Borrego in K2 júnior) and three bronze (Eva Barrios in K1, Tania Alvarez and Tania Fernández in K2 and Luis Amado Pérez and Miguel Llorens).
