The First Rallyjet Villa de Gijón is all a show that you can see during the weekend on the beach of San Lorenzo and in the marina of Gijón. Saturday will be the verifications, and Sunday the races.
This morning, the City Council of Gijón welcomed the presentation of the First Rallyjet Villa of Gijón of water bikes, in which 15 pilots arrived from different points of the Spanish geography will participate. Among the autonomous communities with representation are Baleares, Murcia, Galicia, País Vasco and Asturias.

As the Council of Sports Council of Gijón City Council, Jesús Martínez, said, "This is something very new in the city and, in Gijón we always look to the sea and to water sports. In addition, at the level of competition, as is the case, it can be really spectacular for the entire surroundings of San Lorenzo Beach."

Jesus Martinez has also encouraged all the gijonians and Asterians to approach the Cerro de Santa Catalina next Sunday to enjoy "a true show of water bikes because the pilots will try to go as fast as possible."

For his part, Pablo Velasco, an organizer of the test and also an Asturian pilot who will take part in it has explained that "In the competition two races will be held; for the categories GP1 and GP2, of 2.3 nautical miles each turn. In the race each pilot will have to fly for 25 minutes, plus a lap, to finish his sleeve."

As for the hours, on Saturday day 8, from 17 hours, it will be time for the technical and administrative checks of the motorcycles in the marina. While the races themselves will not be until Sunday 9 and they will start at 9 in the morning.
